Description

Style:16 Port The RACKCONS1916 1U Rackmount LCD Console features an integrated 16 Port Multi-Platform KVM Switch module, 19in active matrix LCD monitor, full 106-key keyboard and mouse touchpad neatly combined into 1U of space in any standard rack or cabinet 30in (or greater) in depth. The KVM console offers a design similar to that of a rack-mounted laptop computer - when the console is not in use, it's as simple as folding the LCD display and keyboard/mouse up and sliding it back into the server rack on the sturdy mounting rails (included). A highly-scalable server control solution, each KVM console/switch module can control up to 136 computers by cascading 8 additional kvm switches. For added versatility, the console is compatible with virtually any existing KVM switch as well as with most PC, Mac and Sun servers/systems. Backed by a2-year warranty and free lifetime technical support.

As mentioned by a previous reviewer - the rack/rail system is absolute trash. With that being said, I've purchased thousands of items from Amazon, and this is absolutely the first time in the history of purchasing with the site, that I've been so frustrated with the quality of the offering, that I felt like I had to send the entire solution back to the vendor. Good Rack Console

We've been using a StarTech IP KVM for about 6-7 years (without issue), so when our rack console needed to be replaced I went with StarTech. The unit seems sturdy. The keyboard/trackpad work well. Highly recommended Rackmount KMM

Perfect size, nice action from the keyboard and I love having a normal layout for the keyboard. It's been in use for 3 months now and worked stellar each time we've needed it. I do wish that we had purchased the KVM to match....but beggars cannot be choosers.

Well-built and sturdy. I installed this in an audio-visual cabinet that barely had enough depth to accommodate the unit. Monitor is low resolution 1024 x 768 VGA) and not very impressive.
