It has a really nice, smooth finish with subtle hints of cocoa that just make it super easy to drink first thing in the morning or as a midday pick-me-up. What I love most about these is the consistency. Every single pod punctures perfectly in my Keurig, and the flavor doesn't fluctuate from cup to cup. I am one of those people who should not be spoken to until I've had coffee. Not "likes coffee." Not "enjoys coffee." I require caffeine to function as a productive member of society. For a while, my morning routine involved a near-daily Starbucks run. My taste buds loved it. My bank account staged a formal protest. That's why these Starbucks Pike Place Roast K-Cups have become my go-to coffee for the workweek. They give me the flavor I want without the daily coffee-shop price tag. Pike Place is smooth, balanced, and easy to drink cup after cup without becoming bitter or overwhelming. It has that familiar Starbucks taste with subtle cocoa and toasted-nut notes that make it feel like a real coffeehouse coffee instead of an "at-home compromise." The biggest compliment I can give this coffee is that I drink a lot of it. One cup turns into two. Two turns into "how is it already noon?" On busy workdays, my Keurig gets a serious workout, and these pods keep me supplied without requiring a second mortgage. I also appreciate how convenient it is to keep a large stash on hand. My husband and I started drinking this Starbucks roast in our old drip maker and often wasted coffee, as we like it FRESH brewed and love coffee and drink it through the day, as we both work from home. So we got a single brew maker & We run through the k-pods, but our coffee tastes even better (my husband used to call my coffee mud) but we run through it pretty quickly, and let’s face it they are a little more expensive- so ordering a larger quantity with a subscription discount - we get free delivery (which before I paid my market) and save time and don’t wake up freaked out because we ran out of coffee: ) I highly recommend this idea to coffee heads like us. And if you have a favorite brew. Often our market ran out of pikes roast - so just another added perk. This comes when we have it scheduled every couple of weeks. No thought involved. And pikes medium/ dark full bodied roast is deliciously smooth (hubby) with just enough dark lover (me) bite. And as young seniors, it doesn’t bother our stomach like some roasts do.
