This game is so fun to play if you’re looking for an adventure game. I haven’t played any of the previous Star Wars games but this game is exceptional. To me it’s a mix of GTA & Batman series games. The story mode is like GTA with missions and side missions that are cumulative, with the autonomy to choose what type of journey you want for your character. The shooting aspect, like GTA and Star Wars battlefront is average. Certainly not a COD, BF, Fortnite, etc. The tactical way of completing missions is very similar to Batman games if you’re familiar. They’re hints to direct you along the way. Having to be inconspicuous without being detected. Not bad at all. The graphics are decent. The game plays well and does not drop frames, at least not that I’ve been able to notice. I read reviews saying that its launch was a mess, but whatever the issue was, it seems to have been fixed. Highly recommend. Pretty fun.

A Bold New Take on the Galaxy Far, Far Away Star Wars Outlaws – Gold Edition on the Nintendo Switch 2 is an ambitious step forward for Star Wars gaming, and while not flawless, it delivers a fresh and engaging experience that fans of the universe should absolutely appreciate. The Gold Edition sweetens the deal with bonus content and early access perks, making it feel like a true premium package. The biggest strength of Outlaws lies in its perspective. Instead of casting you as a Jedi or a soldier of the Empire, you step into the boots of Kay Vess, a scoundrel trying to carve out her own path in the galaxy’s underworld. This angle feels refreshing—it’s not about lightsabers or the Force, but about survival, choices, and the gray areas that define the criminal world of Star Wars. The storytelling is well-paced, with strong voice acting and cinematic sequences that feel like they could easily belong in a Disney+ series. Gameplay is a solid mix of third-person exploration, combat, and stealth. The Switch 2 hardware helps a lot here, as the game runs more smoothly than expected for something this expansive. Environments are varied and full of personality—from bustling cantinas to barren outer-rim landscapes—and each location encourages exploration. Dogfights in space are another highlight, with intuitive controls that make space battles thrilling without overwhelming players. The Gold Edition adds noticeable value. The included expansions, cosmetic packs, and extra missions flesh out the experience, and fans who love immersing themselves in Star Wars lore will enjoy having access to this additional content. It definitely feels like the version to buy if you want the most complete experience from day one. That being said, the game isn’t perfect. Combat, while fun, can sometimes feel repetitive after long sessions. AI enemies occasionally behave oddly, which can break immersion during stealth encounters. There are also moments when the narrative pacing slows down with filler-style side quests that don’t carry the same weight as the main story. While the Switch 2 version is impressive, there are occasional dips in performance during larger open-world areas, especially when a lot of NPCs are on screen. Despite these issues, Star Wars Outlaws shines where it matters most—delivering a grounded, scoundrel-focused Star Wars story with choice-driven gameplay and a richly detailed galaxy. It manages to capture the grit and thrill of being an outlaw without losing the magic and wonder that makes Star Wars so beloved. Overall, I’d give Star Wars Outlaws – Gold Edition on Switch 2 a 4-star rating. Good game at an even better price. This was marked down, but it’s Star Wars so how bad could it be? Turns out, it was really good. Getting to play Sabaac with Lando was worth the price by itself. Plus all the dogfighting? What a bargain. Great value.

Runs great on nsw2! Reminds me of a cross between witcher and assassin's creed with no violent kills. Don't believe there is any light sabers in the game so it's a different star wars prospective.

It’s a fun open world game in the Star Wars genre. Tool about 1hr of gameplay for me to get used to the controls and mechanics. It’s a great game and a good value at just $30. I recommend the purchase if you like Star Wars and want open world.
