This is a thin tshirt material. It helps plop the hair without making it frizzy. Creates curl at the root & is suuuper user friendly to put on. It really doesn’t dry your hair at all though. I leave it on for an hour or so and when I take it off my hair is still very wet, but then it dries really nice. My hair is long so getting curl at the root is hard and this helps a lot. i wish they would make this in more colors options and also options with other more absorbent materials. I know there are microfiber hair towels out there but this one doesn’t twist/squash the hair which is great for curls. ... show more

    • Inexpensive, easy & better fit & "plop" for a full head of hair
Compared to "The Perfect Haircare Microfiber Hair Towel Wrap," or all the cap-&-tail-twist turbans, the Conair T-Shirt Towel, at 1/3rd the price, is a much better buy and much easier to use. I've got very thick, below-the-shoulder length wavy-curly hair. The Conair cotton t-shirt towel is gentle on my curls and easily accommodates my thick mane "plop" without getting caught in the tortured twists of all the turban-style hair wraps (which only result in pulling & straightening my wavy-curly hair). And it stays on nicely without having to be so tightly twisted up, so it allows my plop to remain up top & un-squashed. Plus, it's very light-weight, so you won't feel a heavy weight on your head, like some bulky towels do. Just open the canoe-shaped towel, plop your wet hair near one end of the soft towel, *make only one twist* in the middle of the length of the towel, & then pull the other open end over the cap now on your head (so you end up with a cap fitted over the first cap). Easy; no fumbling with out-of-sight buttons or loops! Makes a cute, floppy "cap" that sits comfortably on top your head and absorbs the water from your hair, while you do other things without dripping. Comfortable enough to sleep in to protect your "do." Great to keep your hair off your face while you beautify with lotions or makeup. I hang it on my faucet knob in the shower to drip dry. Easy to wash between uses, just throw it into the washer & dryer with your laundry (but avoid washing with softeners and other laundry additives, as you don't want that residue getting onto your hair the next time you use the Conair T-Shirt Towel). ... show more

    • Best microfiber towel!
I love this t-shirt towel, it's so soft and the wrap is unique. It has a rectangular shape and it goes on your head like a fitted bed sheet, sounds weird but it's true, you twist it once then lay it over your scalp. The thin fabric lays clings to your head so it's as close as it can be and absorbing moisture unlike microfiber towels (which are good but this is better) that you have to keep pressing to absorb. Trust me, I will buy more of these as well as for my daughters! ... show more

    • Definitely a Thin 'T-Shirt' Material, But Really Effective
I have naturally wavy/slightly curly hair that comes to the middle of my back. I read that for my hair type, it is better to wrap it in a t-shirt (instead of a towel) to speed up the air-drying process. But most of my t-shirts are not large enough to hold all of my hair, because I'm petite and so are my tees. I tried using my husband's t-shirts, but they're too big to fit my small head. So this product looked interesting to me. Thought #1 - this is indeed a soft, t-shirt-type fabric. It isn't thick (thinner than a t-shirt) and isn't particularly absorbent (like a towel would be) but it is very effective. Thought #2 - this looks like a big/long oval-shaped t-shirt, minus the holes for the neck and arms. If you can sew, you can probably take a jersey-type fabric, cut it into an oval, and add a bit of elastic at the two narrow ends and you could make your own. Thought #3 - for the price you get TWO of these, which I did not realize when I ordered and was happy to discover when my order was delivered. Using It - The box shows illustrated instructions, which I embarrassingly needed. Once I did it one time, I felt dumb for not having figured it out on my own, because it was super simple. Anyhow...you bend at the waist, plop your hair down, and put one narrow end at the back of your neck, then you twist it once near your forehead (making sure your hair is all in there) and stand up, and 'tuck' the front narrow/elastic part to the back of your head. Results - After towel-drying/scrunching my hair, I put in my leave-in conditioner and removed all tangles, then applied my 'hair product' (which is just jojoba oil). Then I put this thing on. I wore it around the house - it is comfortable. Then I went to sleep. It stayed on while I was sleeping and didn't bother me one bit. In total, it was on my head for about 10 hours. When I took it off, my hair was uniformly mostly-dry and then dried completely within minutes after removing this wrap. It wasn't any frizzier than normal, and my waves were more uniform from top to bottom than if I had air-dried my hair 'down' or 'up' in a bun. I don't like having my hair on my face/neck (especially while sleeping) so this was nice for air-drying and sleeping with. ... show more

    • It’s Okay….
If you have a large head this wrap might work for you. I have a larger head with lots of hair and this wrap is almost too big for my head. So if you have a small head, I don’t recommend even trying this. Directions say to twist it once and then wrap back over your head. Well since it’s so big I had to try and wrap it twice to even get it somewhat snug so it would hold the hair down and feel secure. I think the overall idea of it is great, but they need to make them just a bit smaller. Quality of the wrap is good and I really like the feel of it as well. I have been using it to “plop” my curls and it’s been great for that. Just not what I was expecting for “holding” the curls on top of my head to plop them hands free. I’ll keep playing around with it since I did just get it and if I find a better way to use it then I will update my review. ... show more
