Features

  • Releases wires from locking connectors
  • Allows repair or replacement of single wires rather than complete wiring harness
  • The release tools work with most connectors
  • Includes 6 tools and case
  • Great time saving tool

Description

The "OTC Terminal Release Tool Set" is a set of release picks used to free wires that are sleeved with locking type connectors from the connector plug housing. By gently inserting the appropriate release tool to depress the locking tab the individual wire slides right out for service or replacement. Now a technician can repair or rebuild a wiring harness without having to order an OE replacement.

abunda_amazon_reviews The price really doesn't reflect the quality of product here. I know that the picks must be of thin metal to be somewhat flexible for picking, but thin metal doesn't need to be cheap metal. I've used the single side flat blade (that has the bent tip) on about ten terminals and already the bend in the tip has nearly flattened out. I think a fair price for this would be in the $10 dollar range. The case is nice, the assortment of tools is nice, but the cheap metal and simple mold injected plastic handles hardly justifies the price I paid.
