Great for Older Motors!

This is a great product as an additive for Boat gas. I have a 1999 Lund with a 1999 Johnson 2-stroke engine. I have use SeaFoam as an additive since 2009, but now use StarBright with every gas refill. The results is quick starts from the ol' motor and no problems with water in my gas. I run the boat frequently during the summer as a member of a local Bass Club and have had no problems with motor performance. I also use it when I store the boat for the winter and the motor always starts first time in the Spring. I recommend this product and believe it is the best thing for my engine and will continue to use it! Measuring out the right amount is easy with the scale imprinted on the bottle.

Absolute must for ethanol fuel treatment

As all boaters know ethanol fuel is a massive problem for high performance marine gas engines be it inboard or outboard, in my case 300HP outboards. Along with ethanol and super high humidity and temps here in south Florida we are often fighting a losing battle. However I treat every gallon of fuel that runs through my boat with Star tron and I have never had a problem in 10 plus years of using it. With the cost of non ethanol what it is, paying for that is just not an option for me. I recommend everyone uses it no matter what type of gas you use. It will save you money in the long run.

Great product

I have been using this product for several years in all my vehicles, my boat, and every thing else I own that runs on gas. I think it does its job because I've had no fuel-related issues whatsoever. It's the only one (that I know of) that is enzyme-based in its activity. I like the fact that the liquid is clear in color, so when I add it to the fuel in my boat, the exhaust doesn't smell any worse or pollute any more than usual (the 2 other competitors I know of are not clear). Each Fall I've added this to my boat's full gas tank for winter storage and I've never had any problems with stale gas in my boat when I start it up in the summer. A coupe of times I've stored it for about a year, and no problems. Just use double the dosage for extended storage (1 fl oz treats 8 gallons for storage; 1 fl oz treats 16 gallons for everyday use). This 32 fl oz size is the economical way to go. My only complaint is I wish the bottle had the very cool measuring dispenser design that one of its competitors has...in theirs, you squeeze the bottle to measure out a precise dosage of the product.

It really works

Something that does as advertised. Put this in 2 cars, neither really had a problem. One is a 29 yo classic car, it always had a miss at idle, after running 45 min. the miss is almost gone. I have no doubt, it will be gone by the time I put in the second tank of gas with star tron. My sno blower not running too well this year. It is now! Starts on first pull everytime. Runs nice and smooth. Well worth the money. I just bought the 32oz size, since I intend to put it in everytime I fill up. Update 3-8-13 Another snow, 7 inches and heavy and wet. Sno throw started first pull. It ran very well, the engine is running nice and smooth. I did notice that I used less gasoline. It used to be near empty when I finished cleaning up, this time I checked I could have ran it a lot longer. Last week I filled one of the cars. I also see improved mpg.

Can it be possible?

I am hesitant to recommend this Star Brite Star Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment stuff because the result I am getting in my six cylinder Toyota 4-Runner is just short of miraculous and I can hardly believe it. My Toyota (with an automatic transmission) was stumbling and chugging a bit at about 45 miles per hour. I had been assuming the problem was dirty fuel injectors so I dumped various brands of cleaner into the gas tank with no discernable result. I read about the Star Brite product in Popular Science magazine and began to think the `stumbling' in my SUV might be due to water from using the alcohol laced gasoline sold around here. I have run two tanks of gasoline through my Toyota using the prescribed amount of Star Brite Star Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment and the `stumbling' has stopped. Honestly, I can hardly believe it. Either the Star Brite Enzyme stuff is doing just what they say it does or this is a temporary phenomenon caused by something else beyond my comprehension. It sure looks like it is working according to the claims made for it. I must say the idea of enzymes having anything to do with a tank full of water, alcohol and gasoline is a reality stretch for me. I taught high school chemistry for years before my retirement and I am somewhat skeptical about the enzyme claims. Be that as it may, this Star Brite treatment is apparently working as advertised for whatever reason and I really don't care why. I plan to buy some more. I DID BUY SOME MORE: I have now used the Star Brite treatment regularly for over six weeks and it has apparently solved the problem I was experiencing with the alcohol laden gasoline I am forced to use in our state. It only takes two ounces of the product per tank of gas so a bottle of it goes a long way. It is available in 8,16 and 32 ounce quantities. Don't assume it is necessary to dump the whole bottle of Star Brite into the tank like other gasoline additives require.
