  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great value
Color: Red
High quality, comfortable hammock.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Inexpensive relaxation
Color: Blue
Had this hammock for a month now and use it a few times a week. It's great for short naps and you can't beat the price. I'm using it on a 20-year-old 15-ft hammock stand the looks exactly like the "Best Choice Products Hammock Stand" you can find on Amazon. It hangs fairly low on this stand. During the two or three uses, it stretched a bit (not enough to drag the ground) and needed to be re-adjusted, but hasn't needed any adjustments since. I bought 0.306-inch x 3.0-inch stainless S-hooks to attach it since it didn't come with any hardware. They work great and are wide and smooth and don't cause any chafing that could eventually lead to breakage. I use it on a covered patio so it doesn't get sun or rain, but the holes inside the wood spreaders aren't very smooth and chafing will eventually cause the ropes to break. The Phoenix weather makes is usable only from October through April and I'll store it inside out of the heat in the summer. I'm not expecting it to last more than 2 years with the use I'm giving it. I guess time will tell. Update January 10, 2015: I've had this hammock a whole year now. It stayed outside on the patio from November to May. I put it away in May and brought it back out in late October and it's still outside. I haven't had to adjust it again for sag/stretching, which is a good thing. The ends of the rope that are wrapped around the loops where it hangs came unraveled on both sides, but it was simple to correct. I did notice chafing of one of the very outside ropes right where it goes through the wooden spreader. Not enough to be concerned about, yet. Update: September 16, 2020: I've had this for over 6 years, but it's only been used very lightly for 4 seasons. I'm surprised it's held up so well, but it's not like new by any means. The unraveling near the ends is really common now, and the chafing has become worse, too, but no strings are broken. The wood spreaders have warped just slightly. Additional stretch has also been minimal. It does collect dust like any cloth hammock and since it's not easily washable, you need to shake it out frequently to help reduce the dust build-up. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Fancy, heck no. Functional? Absolutely.
Color: Red
I have a hammock that I love. When I moved to a high-rise apartment, one of my first thoughts was "HAMMOCK IN THE SKY!" Alas, my hammock is just slightly too wide to work. After a bunch of searching, I bought this one because, well, $16 and free shipping. Is it fancy? No. Is it quilted for a whispery-soft cushion? No. Is the spreader bar adroitly-finished hardwood? No. And are all the seams without hanging threads? Heck, no. But you know what? **Sixteen dollars and free shipping.** It fits on the deck, and it hangs in my previous hammock stand, and I now have a hammock in the sky. Other reviews have questioned its longevity. My reasoning was that as long as it lasts longer than a movie (with popcorn and drink), then I've made back its cost in entertainment. Anything else is bonus. I'll try to remember to post an update when I give it up (should be easy, for $16 I think I'll buy another :). ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Very comfortable and strong
Color: Blue
I bought this for my wife so she can relax in the shade on our camping trips. It hung with ease with the use of some hammock straps that we bought separately (this hammock does not come with rope to hang it, so you'll need to get straps or rope separately). The cotton rope webbing at the foot and head are very thick and strong (held my 240lb body just fine with no stress). The rope knots at the end are very thick, so if you're using hammock straps to hang it, make sure you have large s hooks. The fabric seems durable as long as it is not left out in the elements for extended periods of time. Store it away out of the weather when not in use. It is cotton, so it will break down over time if this is kept out in your yard all the time. When not in use, I just roll it back up and it fits back in the box it came in without having to force it. Very easy to throw in our camp gear bins and bring on any trip. The colors are just like the picture shows, too. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Lasted 6 summers of hard use
Color: Blue
This hammock is the best thing that’s happened to my back yard. I bought it in 2014, and it has seen daily use for SIX SUMMERS, at a price point of $22. Now, 2019, it has started to get a small rip in the middle and part of the decorative rope knot at one end has come undone and is slowly unraveling, but it’s so well-tied it’s not dangerous. This thing will last us through this summer for sure, but I’ve just bought a duplicate for next year. It’s pretty, it’s comfy, it holds up when the wind twists it up. It hasn’t faded (or at least it’s still a brilliant blue; I bet the new one will be a lil brighter). The wooden spreaders at the ends have weathered grey, but it still holds me and my cats every day for lovely relaxation. I recommend. I’ll probably be here buying another one in 2026 if the apocalypse doesn’t get us all first. ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Looks nice but very tippy.
Color: Red
This is a nice looking hammock, but in practice, it is very hard to use. It is somewhat more narrow than the average, which isn't really bad. The issue comes with the actual design of the product. When you sit in it, because it is narrow, and shorter than many, there is some distance between the end of the hammock and the tree or stand in my case. So it is very very tippy. So tippy that I cannot use it. My kids think it is hilarious because they have to really work at it to get in there. I kind of liken this to that carnival game where you have to climb up the tippy rope ladder and not flip over. Its a challenge. I have it up in the yard anyway, but it gets little use. Its kind of dangerous. I would not want a guest to try to use it. The fabric is basic cotton. It feels nice but in this florida sun it faded in literally 3 days. Its now pink. I suspect it will just kind of dissolve in the sun over the summer. Since it was cheap I didn't expect much as far as durability. In Florida with the sun like it is, most outdoor products are disposable after one season. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Nice
Color: Red
The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is too big for our stand. I measured, and it should've fit but it sits a inch from the ground when some one is in it.
