Versatile, durable, and designed to accomplish tasks efficiently. Designed to meet high standards for quality and performance. See a video for Stanley Tool Sets. About Stanley Sockets and Ratchets Stanley sockets feature the proprietary Max-Drive design, a unique radius corner design which provides 15 percent more torque, making it easy to tighten fasteners and simplifies the turning of rounded corners. This technology helps reduce fastener wear without contact on the outer 5 percent of the fastener, so fasteners last longer. This helps reduce slipping on frozen or rusted fasteners. Stanley sockets are manufactured worldwide with high alloy steel and heat treated for performance. Stanley ratchets and accessories are designed to meet or exceed ANSI specifications. All are forged from high-quality steel and finished in high- polish chrome. Selected Stanley high-torque ratchets have a Quick Release mechanism for one-handed use. Sockets and extensions remain locked onto the drive until disengaged with an easy-to-reach, low-profile quick-release button. Stanley Pear Head Ratchets have a slim profile and a small 7-degree arc-swing for accessing hard to reach fasteners. From the Manufacturer The Stanley Works, originally a bolt and door hardware manufacturing company located in New Britain, Connecticut; was founded in 1843 by Frederick T. Stanley. A few years later, in 1857, Frederick’s cousin, Henry Stanley, founded The Stanley Rule and Level Company. In 1920, The Rule and Level Company merged with The Stanley Works and would go on to become it’s famous Hand Tools Division. Over the years, The Stanley Works has produced some of the most innovative and useful tools ever made. Among these tools are the Bailey Plane, the Surform shaper, the PowerLock tape rule and most recently the FatMax line of products. Today, more than ever, Stanley continues to be an industry leader in tool innovation. In 2001, Stanley introduced more than 100 new products, bringing to 400 the number of new products introduced in the past four years. As a direct result of Stanley’s commitment to excellence, Stanley was awarded the Prestigious Golden Hammer Award, presented for New Product Innovation in both 2000 and 2001.

  • Amazing set
Ok so this set blew me away. I honestly got it for a junkyard set/mobile site set. I have previously been using a Williams 50$ set (great set essentially made by snap on) but it was only metric and it only was shallow well sockets. So, with this set you get a ton of sockets for every job deep and shallow well. This has been incredibly handy along with wrenches so this makes a great set to keep in your car or something for a diy person. Get a couple pliers and you’ll be well on your way. They do have 3 8 point sockets which are not common at al any more. But it’s nice to have if a super rare occasion comes up. Ok the draw backs for this product the latches seem cheap not the rock bottom cheap but seems like it’d snap pretty easy cheap. Only one of my sockets were loose the 15mm shallow but I’ve already shook them a lot and none come out. The laser etching will most likely wear over time leaving no trace of what socket it is not a fan of that. And to be honest the last draw back I can think of is it’s stanley (never been a fan of their products). Oh wait one more draw back will be only one extension for each ratchet. 6” for the 3/8 which I like but wish it also had a 3”. Then a 3” for the 1/4 which is fine. Pros of this set, it has so many sizes and it includes wrenches. You can’t beat the price. To my surprise they actually seem of good quality. I must say I enjoy the “black chrome” it’s visually appealing. The fact I wanted to not care and hate this set but it changed my mind to actually enjoying it. With that said I’d recommend this set thus far (still needs a lot more use before I can truly say) Side note if your wondering if the set comes pre colored red for sae and blue for metric no it doesn’t i did it with a paint marker to make it more visually appealing and easier to spot the sizes. BLUF This is a good buy and a good value for a homeowner or weekend mechanic. Pros: * The case does a good job of keeping everything in place. One or two of the sockets consistently come loose if the case is jostled strongly, but overall the tools are secure and well organized. * The quality is pretty good, and after a few months of moderate use, I have had no issues. Cons: * This set doesn't have hex or torx drivers. If it did, it could have been my one-stop home mechanic's set. As it was, I purchased a GearWrench 890040 39 Piece Bit Socket Set 1/4-Inch(13mm) & 3/8-Inch(20mm) Drive from gear wrench to round this out. * An extra set of extensions would be nice, or a converter between 1/4" drive and 3/8" so that both extensions can be used together. * The set was greasy, for lack of a better word. There was something mildly tacky covering the tools. Not a big deal Both a pro and a con (mostly pro): This set came with the 1/4" drive extension missing the retaining mechanism (ball bearing, spring). I called Stanley and their support department was very apologetic and mailed me the replacement part. Unfortunately, they sent me the driver, not the extension. Had to call back, and they sent the right part (sort of - sent the chrome version, not the black version). A few days later I received a second 1/4" extension in the mail, so now I have a long and short 1/4" drive extension. One snaps into the case, and the other stays happily tucked between the 1/4 and 3/8" drive extensions. I was happy to talk to a company that wanted to make things right with their product. ... show more

  • All tools, no filler
I hate when you buy a 255 piece kit with 225 screwdriver attachments and bits that you never use. there is 1 strip I think about 8 bits and I have found every bit to actually be useful, so you get a good 91 piece set of working tools. I have changed sparkplugs, fuel pumps, fuel filters, rebuilt a motorcycle engine and a few other products already with this set. All my friends love how it looks and I have been complimented by my dad as well. the black tools make it easy to not get mixed up. I have never been a big fan of Stanley tools but decided to take the chance because it was the only affordable kit that did not have a billion filler pieces. the only con I can find about this set is that it only includes 1/4, and 3/8" drive, but the description made it very clear so I cant hold it against it it dose not have Allen wrenches, so if you need that buy a separate kit that has a good selection, Im glad they did not "fill" the kit with them because most people already have a set or two and more is frustrating when your trying to get a tool kit with you know tools. also I have not had much of an issue with pieces falling out but I dont leave it in my car or have gone off roading, I have put it in my backpack and took it for a trip to do some work when I was riding my bike not 1 fell out, if you run into that prob, a 1$ piece of foam that you cut to size should solve it :) ... show more
