I love this Stanley thermos. I own several other Stanley thermoses and they never disappoint. I tested this one out by putting boiling hot water in it and checking it every several hours. At hour 8-hours, it was still PIPING HOT and 18- hours later it was still HOT!! Very happy. Will be perfect for soup, stews, tea, coffee etc and will last an entire work day without going cold. I own another thermos- the 1.5qt one- and that one kept my tea piping hot for 24-hours! These thermoses stand the test of time (nearly impossible to destroy) and really do keep your food/beverages HOT or ice cold, and can be passed down from one generation to the next. I no longer bother with anything else. I love this size because it is versatile and can be used for both beverages and food and fits easily into my bag (not too tall). Do not hesitate to purchase. This is my third food container. First was a hydro flask, lasted 6 months then trash. Next was a no name lasted one week. This is best one yet. I never abuse my or drop them. Time will tell for longevity. Also holds heat for 7 plus hours.

I haven't had this for long, but the times I have used this, it has done a great job at keeping food hot. I haven't had a chance to try it with cold food yet bet will soon. I've used this with soup and tea and both were kept very hot all day. The tea stayed hot for a very long time, after 3 hrs it was still just as hot as if you were to pour water out of a tea kettle. And then after over 8hrs hour pass probably close to 10 the tea was alittle warmer then room temp. The soup probably would of stayed just as hot, if the intial temperature going into the thermos was hotter, so it basically stayed just as warm from when I initially heated the soup up. Overall I definitely recommend this to anyone who has a commute and wants to keep their food or drink HOT for a extended period of time. The jar itself is also very well made and super easy to clean including the top. I will say this definitely does not fit in my car's cupholders (chevy spark) but stays put while driving if sat on the passanger seat, so it doesnt make a difference to me. ... show more

I bought a Stanley growler in light grey before, both design and color were nice. It came in a very light padded envelope, which I thought was kinda odd, no bubble wrap or anything, but it came without a single scratch on it. This time I bought the french press and 2 food jars, and the design and color were again very good. This time the products came in a box, again without any tissue paper or bubble wrap. The pink food jar's lid has some light scratch marks and one light dent on the side... it doesn't bothers me as I figure there will be wear and tear after uses anyway... but for those who are perfectionist may want to request for better wrapping before buying. ... show more
