If you are worried about the design of the lid, don't be. I walk my willful dog with cup in one hand and leash in the other, no sloshing and spilling. I like that it doesn't have a flip top or slide. The lid fits and seals easily and firmly in place. I wouldn't do jumping jacks with it, but it's stable with jerking motions. I keep up a large garden and so I can't luxuriate with my coffee but come back to it often for some sips as I work and it keeps the coffee hot, long enough to eventually drink it all down.
