Its a nice futon, looks nice, didnt need to be a rocket scientist to put it together. Instructions are adequate not sure why some whined about them. The important pieces are color coded, hardware they show ya big pics of as needed. Follow the directions and you shouldnt have any problems. The mattress, not hard, not soft, is okay to sleep on, when folded to the sofa postion, is just okay. Maybe this is just because I got the "queen" set, but its very difficult to fold up from bed to sofa. The easiest way i found was to just remove the matress, fold it up then put the matress back on. Mattress is heavy, so not the idea scenario, but doable. I guess the thought being, you're not going to be doing this every day anyway. Shipping was awesome, mattress came first then frame the following day, all was before expected. Boxes are heavy, so be prepared. You will need quite a bit of room to assemble. Frame seems very solid, i saw some reviews that theirs broke... I'm, 225lbs and while sleeping, sitting, or folding it up, didnt seem weak at all. Not sure any futon is built to withstand gynnastic intimacy, or to have 3 rather robust persons on it, so take those reviews with a grain of salt. Over all, am satisfied with the purchase, I would imagine I will have this for several years and have zero concerns about the longevity of the futon. The mattress, is okay for now, it doesnt seem like if will pack down with use, but we will see.... (2 months later) Still love the futon, is still comfy. Make no mistake, one person is not folding this from bed to couch by themselves, without removing the matress. I bought the queen size, so keep this in mind. Also, with the queen size, the back when folded up is very very high unless you want the seat portion to stick out far. Still like it, serves my purpose. DO NOT BUY! For starters, the mattress was horrible, lumpy, and uneven. I'm pretty sure it's 100% polyester pillow fluff. More significantly, it is weak structurally. The arm rests were biscuitted together without glue, and two screws support the weight bearing crossmember. Additionally, the screws actually go into one of the biscuits so they really only pass through a tiny segment of the leg. It broke after two days. It is a flawed design and flawed manufacturing. Got all pieces of frame, but NO MATTRESS. Mattress was shipped independently and not included in amazon delivery email or package manifest. It appeared only after I contacted the vendor. The comes unassembled and difficult to put together unless you've had IKEA experience with directions. Wood quality is good, makes up for all the little pieces and that pesky allen wrench needed for assembly. Would have bought at local store if it were not for COVID ... show more

We purchased both a full and queen size of this futon for our Airbnb. They look nice and fold out into nice beds as well. People tell us all the time how comfortable they are. I do use a mattress cover, but there is little padding in that. There are quite a few loose threads hanging around the zipper that need to be clipped...hopefully this doesn't indicate issues. We've had these for over year now and lots of guests have used them without problems. Unlike the video, it is NOT easy for a single person to put these down without removing the mattress. My husband always needs to help. The outer material is nice...it seems to wipe clean. We tend to get a lot of smudges from dirty kid's fingers etc. And it only takes a wet cloth to wipe it clean. The queen size does seem to slip down a bit and it needs to be re-adjusted sometimes. It's difficult for a single person to do that too. The frame seems a bit too small for the size of the mattress. Nevertheless, I just ordered a burgundy colored queen size for our upstairs...although this time I ordered the one with the flip out trays for beverages or whatever. I kinda wish I would have ordered that feature on the others too. I'm looking forward to receiving that one. Overall we are very pleased with our purchase. ... show more

Be aware the futon came in three boxes within 3-4 days of each other and the first box came about a week after being ordered so plan for at least two weeks from ordering. We only had tracking info for the first box and would not have known there were multiple boxes except for the other reviews. The futon is very sturdy and took 3-4 hours to set up. The mattress is more comfortable than a typical “college futon“ or sleeper sofa, but obviously no replacement for a bed. We are using it in a man cave/family room mostly as a couch but also has extra sleeping space on family visit. It looks nice though not fancy and work great for what we needed it for. ... show more
