Best tool if you want to draw hopscotch, race tracks, parking lots, etc on your driveway for the kids! I wouldn’t want to draw a detailed picture with it. It’s a bit awkward to maneuver. Perfect for simple lines. It is way better than crawling all over my driveway. The two stick pieces come apart easily, but they are easy to put back together. Also you have to adjust/push out the chalk often if you are drawing a lot. But that’s just the nature of chalk. Love it! ... show more

It’s pretty awesome. So I bought my kid a power wheels vehicle and wanted to make him a chalk “track” in the street to drive in. First time I used chalk and bent over to make the track. It practically killed my back. Lol. I thought there has to be a better way. That’s when I found this item. It actually works. No more bending over breaking my back to draw large tracks on the street in chalk anymore. Saved my back and was much faster. Only 4 stars since the plastic is a bit weak and slightly cracked when assembling the pieces together. It still works though. I would recommend slightly stronger/stiffer plastic to make it more durable. It does bend a bit if pressing hard. Overall, it’s pretty cool and works as intended. I would buy again and would recommend. Just don’t try to insert the pieces together too tight when connecting the pieces to avoid accidentally cracking the plastic. 4.5/5 stars. 😉 If it ends up breaking, I might just buy a piece of PVC and make my own. But so far this is holding up. Edit- this only holds a specific size diameter chalk. Won’t hold $1 Tree chalk. Difficult to find the chalk which works in this unit. Styrofoam did stretch making this inoperable after 3 uses. Pretty much garbage now. ... show more

First of all the packaging was very hard to get open. I am a grandmother, but love to do chalk with my grandchildren. I thought it would be a good idea so I could drop pictures without having to sit on the ground. Unfortunately, this product is not live up to my expectations. The truck does not stay in correctly to be able to drive with it. My five-year-old cannot use the chalk holder very well. Just not know how to position it and gets frustrated because the chalk does not stay in place. ... show more

I had something similar to this growing up and now having kids I knew I needed one. It’s super easy to use. I don’t have to touch the chalk which is great! My kids love making roads and this makes it easy. Great value for the price! Only thing to keep in mind is that you need the standard circular chalk otherwise it won’t fit and fall out. ... show more

This is a clever idea if they had made it better and actually tested it. Ours in pink broke on the first use. The cheap plastic broke on the joint. If it had been made from aluminum it would not break then the chalk falls out when you swap colors. There is not enough friction to hold it in so they plop out or move inside like disappearing chalk. I am going to have to duck tape the joints of it now and add the spiky bristle part velcro to the inside to try to keep the chalk in place. I think aluminum and spiky type velcro would have made it work because this will not work with out me modifying it. So if you buy it-modify it like I am BEFORE you use it so save yourself some frustration! Photos of my modifications that actually WORK GREAT are pictured. Now I can enjoy using it! ... show more

I’m not super old or anything but my back hurts sometimes....and I like to draw race tracks on the driveway for my kids. Enter me....sitting on a skateboard or anything that has wheels and is close enough to the ground for me to literally roll and draw lines....because it hurts my back to keep bending over to draw a huge racetrack that my kids will use for five minutes. Anyway, I had some free time and decided to see if anyone sold a “chalk stick” to help my not so old broken down self out. To my amazement, they do! The product itself works great and I was able to draw a pretty decent track in 10 minutes with crazy curves and all! And - my back didn’t hurt when I was done! Win-win! Would definitely recommend for other broken down people like me or just those that enjoy playing with chalk.... ... show more

this item should definitely not cost $20 which is how much I paid. I wanted this to be able to draw numbers on the ground easily without squatting and having to stand up and move every two seconds for hopscotch for example. It is made of several interlocking pieces, and the last piece is very bulky with a big piece of foam in the end to hold a charge or something like a pipe insulator. It comes with one piece of chalk that is so shrink wrapped you can barely open it without injuring the chalk. once you put all the pieces together and put one piece of chalk in, you can’t make the chalk stick out very far or it will break it off because of the angle. But if it is too short, the bulky end of the device will scrape on the ground, so really, you have to keep advancing the chalk in the end of the device every time you draw one number and it makes it much more difficult than just sitting or crawling on the ground . Also, it looks like a bat and all the kids want to use it to hit people with. ... show more
