My toddlers take bites out of their crayons constantly, so I got several packs of these pencils for daycare. They work much better - the kids can't bite off pieces that they could choke on... These also don't color on surfaces as effectively as crayons do.

These are perfect colored pencils for small hands. Ages 3-7 or so. Older kids could use them too but may not like the younger looking designs. They color great.

My kids liked the colors I had to buy a second box so that they wouldn’t fight over them. And this is a 5 yr old and a 2 yr old. And this is after I got the 5yr old her own regular color box. She liked the designs and that she can hold then better.
