I have been buying these for years for myself and my kids. I now work in a nursing home, and I bought them again for the residents to use with adult coloring books. Not having to sharpen them is a real game-changer. Needing to sharpen pencils would cause my residents needless frustration. Simply twisting the pencil to extend the tip is ingenious. There are imitators but I believe Crayola was the first to create this kind of pencil. I bought these for my nieces who love to color. They are a name brand and a great price for the amount of colors. The stores don’t carry this quantity so it was nice to get extra colors. They are easy to use and save on having to sharpen a dull pencil. The box from the manufacturer was super thin and I had to tape both ends to keep them inside. I bought a pencil holder to store them in after they were opened. If your going to gift to someone make sure to tape the ends. ... show more

I was apprehensive when I first used them. They are stiff and a cross between pencil and crayon. I had to push hard with some colors. HOWEVER after working the colors together I loved the effect they had. I think I got more realistic coloring with these than I would have with pencils or anything else. Colors are light but bright. Good for detail work. Must create swatch chart and guess the colour names from side of box. Pencils are not labelled! No crumbs. Have to label pens yourself because lead colors are not matching color laid down. Nice set for coloring books once labelled.

These Crayola Pencils are great. Colors are vibrant and blend well. I wish they put the color name on each pencil. It's hard to find the right color when I'm working with them. I have to keep a pad next to my project to test the pencils to make sure I'm using the same color as previously since the color names aren't on the pencils. ... show more
