    • Excellent replacement for Camp Chef probe.
This replacement probe looks identical to the original. The probe wire is sheathed in braided stainless steel and is the same length and diameter as the probe that came with the grill. I plugged it in and it worked perfectly. The temperature appears to be accurate, too.

    • Works!
OEM Camp Chef Probe quit working after 2 years. Needed a replacement decided to go with stanbroil. Works fine. The cable is beefier than oem. I would buy again

    • don't submerge probe in water and keep inside smoker thermometer clean and shiny.
these are a "go-no-go" thing. Just plug in and stick in meat. No calibration required. They match my other probes and oven thermometers within 7 degrees and sometimes spot on depending on how long they are exposed to the same temperature and what area of the smoker they are located. You're not going to get more than that I'd think. Just keep them clean and shiny and don't submerge the probe in water or drown it in faucet water or it will not work. Important note: make sure you've cleaned the grill TEMPERATURE THERMOMETER inside the grill. Its that small flag pole looking thing (on mine) nearest the hopper side of the grill wall. Keep it shiny and clean also and the temps will usually be copasetic along with all other probes and oven thermometers. ... show more

    • Inaccurate temperature
At first this probe worked fine. Now after about three uses, it's gone crazy. Right now, it is reading 575 degrees in a chicken. I still have one of the original probes, and in the same chicken, it reads 145. Garbage. And my return window had closed.

I wait to give reviews to ensure I give an accurate one. Accuracy - A good replacement for my Camp Chef grill. Value for the money - The quality is just as good as the original. Warmth - The temperature reading is accurate and it has been holding up to daily use. I use my grill year around. Snow, rain, and other weather doesn't stop us from cooking outside. Have tried it with my pitboss smoker, shows that it's connected but doesn't give any temperature readings. Garbage!
