Bought as a replacement on my 2005 Impreza RS. i was let down a bit that it did not come with the required bolts needed for replacement. factory bolts could not be used as they were rusted to badly. a trip to lowes and i had what was needed. after install and the first drive i have noticed that under load it rattles on a cross member. I might be able to get back under it and bend a hanger a little bit or it might just be that way from now on. my car is just a daily beater so im not to worried.

I purchased this exhaust kit because it was listed in the Amazon search as being an "Exact Fit for a 2002 - 2005 Subaru Forester XS"! As I unpacked it I noticed the muffler didn't match the look of my old one but the rear hangers matched up. It wasn't until I looked closer that I noticed the front hanger didn't match the placement and length of the old muffler. I checked the resonator pipe and while the hanger was in the right place, its diameter was smaller. Also the flange that would connect to the Catalytic converter was at the wrong angle. I suspect that it is because this exhaust is meant ONLY for the Impreza!!!

Just got this today. Packaged well. Even wrapped in cardboard it has some small scratches and dents. It's an exhaust, so not overly worried. See how well everything lines up hanger wise when go to install.

2002 Subaru Impreza outback Sport. Installation proved it short. It was short by about two inches. It is touching the rear cross member. In the end it is quiet and the all stainless construction looks good. If it was just that little bit longer installation would have been better. I do worry about overall longevity being its touching the cross member. Only time will tell for sure. Great overall quality for the price. In spite of the issue I would buy again
