  • The Perfect Podcasting mic stand for a small space
The media could not be loaded. I have a podcast and was looking for a mic stand that held a sizable microphone that was over 2 lbs, the EV RE320. I wanted something for a small desk that didn't take up a lot of room and provided a smooth swivel to made me feel like the mic was well supported and agile during my broadcast. The Stage Rocker mic stand fit the bill so nicely. I must have looked at at least 5 other versions online, but noticed the price of the Stage Rocker was half the price. I was skeptical because I noticed some reviewers said it was not that study, but for the price why not give it a shot. When I first tried it, I did not cock the mic stand backward so that the mic was positioned upward (the correct was to position the mic). I tried keeping it horizontal and it tipped a bit. Positioning it the correct way like the picture on Amazon is the way it should be and it ended up being an extremely sturdy product with a weighty base that provided everything I needed to feel secure with an expensive microphone for my talk show. PROS: - You can't beat the price. - The smooth swivel made me feel in control. - It holds nice a weighty radio mic and the base offered good support. - Small and compact for small spaces like a podcast on a desk CONS: - Even with a nice weighty base, I still wish it was just a bit heavier. - The swivel is really nice and smooth, but you can't be too rough with how you move the stand. I was provided a Stage Rocker mic stand to provide an honest and unbiased review of the product. Stage Rocker Powered by Hamilton SR610111 Bass Drum/Table Top Boom Mic Stand ... show more

  • i like it overall
i use it with a shure beta 52a. the stand's never fallen over but it doesn't inspire a ton of confidence. although i do use it on carpet, so that might contribute to the stability question.

  • Great for holding my Shure SM57
I bought this stand to hold my Shure SM57 in front of my 1x12 Dr. Z Maz 18 combo. It allows me to get the mic at the perfect height, and it does not loosen up like some cheaper stands. The only thing is that it is a little easy to knock over if not facing straight out where the longer part of the stand is facing. ... show more

  • Very light but does the job
The base is light .. but it does the job. That’s probably why it’s less expensive.

  • Excellent little mic stand
This thing is sturdy! I have a cheapo $12 mic boom that I just had to replace. This did the trick. It has a solid base and works wonderfully so long as you don't turn the boom sideways too far. The foot is designed to hold the stand upright as long as the boom is inline with the base. Altogether, this is a fantastic little desktop/tabletop mic stand for doing interviews, podcasts, etc. ... show more

  • Great deal! Photos included.
My initial impression is that this stand is a great deal. It appeared most comparable stands and other websites all had comparable models about $25-$35. Much cheaper and does a good job. No issues with stability; although, I have not used it with the boom fully extended. For my purposes, it has done great! See pictures. ... show more

  • Nice value, very portable.
These are a bit smaller and have a lighter base than a similar-looking Pro Line brand model I own, but that's actually ideal for me, as I prefer the portability. Technically this makes them a bit less stable, but for holding a mic it works fine. Otherwise the quality is good and the price is excellent. ... show more
