    • Don’t Bother Importing for the Case
I purchased this set from another online retailer, imported from the UK. This particular Staedtler Triplus 1mm broad liner set of 40 appears to be a UK exclusive set, unique to this quantity in the double easel case. I wanted this selection of colors, not too many but a hood spectrum, and I wanted the convenience of the signature case in the double layer style. Don’t bother spending the $$$ nor waiting the weeks to arrival. The case is weak and unsatisfactory for this brand quality. My case had arrived broken into two pieces so both layers were separated. If the case cannot close to contain the pens, nor it stand to hold both rows, what’s the point? As to not be completely lost on this investment, I used hot glue to secure the two cases back together. It took me three times to get it lined up horizontally and vertically to get it to lock / latch properly. In this challenge, I noted that one of the reasons why I couldn’t get this to close even when I had everything lined up, was that the front case had a crack along the lower seam. Well, not a crack, but the seam along the bottom edge where the case folds over into itself had split along the bottom. More hot glue and lots of pressure to close the gaping seam secured it enough to where I could finally close the case and it seems to stand in the easel position as well. That’s a lot of effort for a $60 case of pens, and it still feels fragile. Just do yourself a favor and get one of the other bulk packs in tin or box for half the price and none of the struggle. Side Note: This set is also lacking the neon fluorescent colors that come in the smaller UK exclusive easel case sets. The six pack of neons Staedtler 323 1mm is another UK exclusive, so now I have to pay more and wait even longer for those colors too as to not have duplicates by buying another multipack with them. ... show more
