I like this clock very much. It keeps time when it is unplugged and replugged in. The numbers/ letters are large enough to read from across two rooms. (65 year old eyes). The readout is extremely bright. I bought some translucent colored cutting boards. 12 x 15 and .06ml thick. 60 mil. I trimmed the blue “cutting board” to fit inside the face frame. Perfect for what I wanted. I bought two of these clocks, different sizes. Both very bright. One hangs on the wall, the other sits on a table. The one that hangs is velcroed to the wall because the cord is heavy enough to pull the right side of the clock down, so it hangs uneven. The cutting boards were bought on Amazon, Fotouzy flexible cutting boards, 4 pack, multicolored for 7.19. They are now 8.99. Inexpensive enough to stop me from complaining about the brightness. Will buy more of these for gifts. It only bugs me a little that it’s called a dementia clock. (Sign of times to come?) Highly recommend. ... show more

I purchased this large digital clock for my 93-year-old mom as she was having difficulty reading her small clock. She uses it for the time, date, etc., not for medication schedules. She wouldn’t be able to hear it anyway. It was a breeze to set the time and date, but I do not know anything beyond that to say whether it’s easy or not. I set it up on mom’s nightstand.
