I have not noticed anything in my mid section but man is it a good work out for my buns and thighs. Added this to my regular routine so far loving it. Build strength while getting an aerobic workout. This combines the benefit from rowing with building strength with squats. Honestly, it's just fun. Make it as hard or easy as you want with the addition of more of the "bungee" cords. It has a very small footprint and can easily be folded up. The one caution I would have is getting on and off could be a problem for people with balance problems. If you are elderly (like me) you might want to have a "spotter" to stand by. Upon trying to put this thing together I got stuck when trying to attach the peddle bar to the seat bar. As the pic will show the peddle bar was pre assembled upside down and backwards. When i fixed this the rest was a breeze to put together. I took away 1 star for the incorrect pre assembly. I like what I see so far but I can't comment on it's longevity because i haven't used it yet. I am right at the max weight limit but upon sitting on it I feel safe enough to use and there is very little wobble. All in all it looks to be a nice little machine we will see how long it will last. I just wish it would have come pre assembled correctly to save me some time putting it together. ... show more

This squat machine is WAY harder to use than one might think!! However, the instructions are super simple yo follow for fast, easy assembly! I'm pleased with my purchase and can't wait to get my buns in shape with this and the accompanying rower I recently purchased!

It was easy to put together with just a few pieces. Very happy with ease of use. Starting off without using cables. You can latch cables to it for storage. I can no longer do the abdominal roller because of a shoulder injury. This squat machine is great for the legs, but it also helps firm the core and buttocks. I only need to do 25 to 35 a day.
