makes hip thrusts much easier but the provided three straps are not attached to the pad. While there may be shortcomings to not having the straps attached, having them loose in my gym bag may lead to me loosing them. Otherwise, its great.

I got the squat pad to relieve the excess weight I throw on my hip bones and shoulders when doing hip thrusts and squats.I use it for hip thrusts. It stays in place and I don’t get all bruised up from hip thrusts anymore. For that, it works really well.it is as comfortable as any pad I have used and better than most. ... show more

This is a good product. I use it mainly for squats and lunges on a Smith machine. Haven't had a reason to use the straps that come with it yet. The pad works well without the straps.
