Had to figure out how to install it. But it works just like it is supposed to.

Unfortunately, to set the scene, the Chinese characters on the side of the tool, started things off bad. I understand these are manufactured for a multi fit purpose. However, it was sloppy while trying to use. I believe, there were suppose to be 4 screws to attach to the quil of the drill press, 2 to adjust for size & 2 for anchoring/securing, they were not there. There are 2 small screws with just a regular nut, to secure, on the “elbow” on the arms. While the drill press was running, the nuts would vibrate off, regardless of how tight you adjusted them. Screws were to short to add a locking washer. I opted out for this project. I will return & go for the next upgraded version. Hopefully, I can locate a made in USA product. ... show more

The screws that should hold the square bit will not hold in place so there isnt a square just a round hole.

I have several mortising bits, but I no longer have a mortising machine. I was hoping that this would allow me to use the bits I have with one of my drill presses. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for several reasons. While this did fit the diameter of my mortising bits, it was too short to allow the end of the bit to align properly when mounted in the drill press. I was also able to get it to fit on my bench drill press, but the top clamping collar was too small to fit my floor standing drill press. So unless you have the right length bits and happen to have a drill press that the collar will fit, this may not be the best choice. ... show more

    • Well made Poorly designed
I really wanted this to work with at least one of my Drills or my Drill Press and It will attach to my old Black and Decker Corded Drill from the early 80's the Drill being only a 1\4" doesn't have enough Horsepower to make this thing useful. I am in the Process of buying a full sized Drill press which I believe will allow this to be attached. There could have been a slightly less thick collar for attaching to the Shaft so it would have been a bit more universal. Also should have come with at least 1 Bit so you could see how well it works. I had to go buy a cheap set at Harbor Freight just so see how poorly my Drill handled this. ... show more

    • Decent adapter for the hobbyist, has worked pretty well so far.
I was hoping that this would fit at least one of my hand drills and also my drill press but alas, it's too short for the drill press. I do believe that I can make a small adapter to extend it myself though. On the hand drill that I've been using it on, as others have noted, it does get loose after a while. I plan to replace the nuts with some that have nylon inserts in the hopes that they'll stay in place. Speaking of the nuts, my unit arrived missing one of the screws and two of the nuts. It wasn't a big deal for me because I have lots of hardware in the shop but still, stuff was missing, fortunately it wasn't anything critical. Other than that, it fits my bits well and does what it's supposed to do. ... show more

Aside from the delusion I embraced when selecting this bit adapter, (namely that at least one bit would be included), I was struck by the fact that this is a sturdy piece of drilling equipment. Tightening the screws heartily is a must, but once done the brace works as it should.

Holds a mortising bit in a regular drill instead of needing a mortising machine. Hand drills and small drill presses with a fixed collar of 1.5 to 2.2 inches diameter can use mortising bits for square holes with this bracket adapter from Suteng. Standard drill presses usually have a larger collar than this bracket will fit and not all hand drills have a collar at all so check your device to be sure this adapter will fit. Standard drill presses may also have too long a chuck assembly so check that dimension as well. After installing the bracket on the drill it clamps the outer chisel body to prevent rotation while the bit is held and turned by the regular chuck.
