  • Great Headlight, NOT FOR HID's
Color: Black
The light assembly as a whole are of good quality for the price. However, if you buy these expecting to put HID bulbs in them I would not recommend them. I tried halogens, HID's and LED's. LED's came out on top with brightness and a good beam pattern. Halogens were in second with a good beam pattern but not very bright compared to LED. The glare is also not bad for halogens or LED's which is the reason I bought these projectors as the truck is lifted 12 inches. Last place by far was the HID's. The beam pattern was awful and not very bright. I have had HID's before and are great but they need a projector designed for them. Overall I would highly recommend these headlights, time will tell how long these hold up. ... show more

  • High beam and Low Beam spread too far apart!!!
Color: Chrome/Clear
Spoiler: DO NOT BUY!!! I bought these headlights almost two years ago, and didn't write a review because I thought possibly the issue was due to poor final adjustment. This truck isn't a daily driver and I don't take it out at night often. So I'm infrequently reminded of my frustration. After installing the headlights, I was disappointed that I couldn't get them adjusted correctly so that both the high and low beam illuminate the road. I found a flat surface, marked a flat wall with targets, used a laser level, and laser plumb line, etc., to try my hardest to align the headlights. No matter what I do, I can not get both the high beams and low beams to be aligned properly: that is to say that if the low beams are at the right height, the high beams are WAY too high and useless... and if the HI beams are at the right height, the low beams are too low and I can't see any distance ahead of me. I'm not saying I'm a genius or anything, but I am a mechanical engineer and spent 20 years as an industrial maintenance tech, so I have aligned a few things. These are garbage... if I still had my old faded headlight assemblies, I would put them back in. They look nice, and they're bright... but I bought these expecting them to be better headlights, not as decoration. ... show more

  • Buy These!
Color: Black
Headlights are great! I returned a set that I purchased from Headlight Depot (Cg Motorsports) and bought these. The Gap is minimal (1/4") but the important part to me is that it is uniform around the headlight. One thing to get over is, if you want an adjustable headlight there will be a small gap. The set I returned was warped (3/4-1" gap all the way around) and not adjustable from the front. The Spyder Headlights are adjustable from the front with the headlight installed. ***Opposed to other reviews, there is no wiring issue. There is a wire plug adapter included now so it is plug and play! You still need to wire the LEDs on your own. I wired the LEDs to the running lights (turn signal blub wiring) that way the LEDs stay on all the time regardless of high/low. The install wasn't difficult. The trick is to slide the headlight bracket in on the grille side then roll the light housing into place. The light output is excellent. The Lows are nearly as bright as typical high beams. I'm very happy with the purchase and I would recommend and buy them again. FYI: I installed these on a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500, non sport, 4x4. ... show more

  • It's alright, I like the look, but modification was required...read on.
Color: Black
They lamps installed as advertised and looked great out of the box. Prime shipping has always been fast and bonus...it's free! Now for the issue with these headlights; first, I couldn't get them to work properly. After breaking out the multimeter, I found the wiring on the headlamp harness was inverse; the blue and black wires had to be de-pinned/swapped and hot-glued back back in place to seal the connector (you can use RTV, I'm sure, but I didn't have any handy). Basically, my high-beams in the center were always on dimly with my low-beam projectors, then hi-beam only when selected and normal brightness. My hi-beam indicator stayed on at all times in the truck, as well. They basically had the common-ground/return on the low beam side of their connector (two black wires tied to the same pin) and the low beam on the common-ground/return in place of where the low-beam wire should go. After clearing (CAREFULLY) the sealant on the back of the connector off of the wires, I used a jeweler's flat screwdriver to unlock the pins and swap them to yield a working light assembly. I sealed them back up with hot glue. Next, I made my adjustments via a home-mechanic method of centering the lamp assemblies with the contour of the fenders/bumper/grille, parking close to a garage door, marking center of the projected beams with masking tape, then backing up 25ft. (must be level). I found that I needed quite a bit of adjustment to get the beams UP to the correct position (slightly low/to the right of the center beam marks) and that they make a wierd and very definitive pattern across the path of view...and adjusted to that normal position will limit your visibility at distance. Maybe there's a much different method for projector beams, but I made further adjustment when I could stop and open the hood and use a screwdriver plus 5/16" socket until I found the beams acceptable. I am still not 100% happy with the adjustment, but I'll get it right soon. I also found it useful to drill out the plastic over the upper adjustment screw so I could make easier adjustments and get the light properly seated in the lamp's mounting. This housing uses your own turn/parking lamp and provides the H11B (I think...maybe H13B) and H7 (I think) lamps internally. If you wanted anything else such as HID, you'd be wiring in a new connector to retro-fit. I have yet to hook up the LEDs in it, but didn't have the time to run new wiring to those; I suppose you could tap off of your existing parking lamp wiring, but I'm not fond of messing up factory harness wiring without a replacement pigtail on-hand. Why did I go through so much trouble to get a defective assembly to work, you ask? I'm in the electronics field and it's second-nature to me. Most would rather not go through such a hassle, so I'd say the general concensus is not to recommend this assembly. Hope this helped anyone with these issues or made up their mind to return it. Good luck either way! ... show more

  • Very sharp!
Color: Black
These headlights are awesome! They look so sharp on my white doge ram 1500 sport! The halogen led projectors are great as well. The brights are pretty lame, but just switch them out for some better ones.
