The media could not be loaded. Setup was good right out of the case. You never see this with a violin at this price range. I actually bought another blue one. I plan to buy a red one great little starting instrument.

My 11 year old daughter took an interest in learning how to play the violin through school and we surprised her with her own violin last year and purchased this brand. Her violin teacher said that this is a good brand and she hasn’t had any problems at all with it except a small issue with one of the zippers breaking. I reached out to the company and they immediately replaced it no questions asked. I (as well as my daughter) was extremely satisfied with the customer service we received. My daughter is now into her second year learning the violin (she has lessons four times a week) and the quality of this violin is amazing. If you’re looking for great quality and excellent customer service, I absolutely recommend this seller/brand.

5 stars for how pretty the purple shows, it even sparkles. I took it to get it tuned for the first time and the musician noticed the notches in the neck, (by the pegs) were not in the correct spots. Therefore the violin won't ever sound like a violin made with care and attention to details. Also, keep in mind, a painted violin won't sound as natural as a varnished violin due the the paint not absorbing into the wood like a varnish would. It will be great for someone who doesn't have an attuned ear to rich violin sounds. This case is made of canvas, not a hard plastic box. It comes with an extra set of strings, an electric tuner, a chin rest, bow, and a small sheet of paper with light information. Also understand the quality for price: a violin string naturally costs upwards of 60$ or more, the bow alone of a well made instrument naturally costs 80$ or more. So for this beautiful violin and ensemble to cost less than 100$, you can expect some skimping on the quality. Best of luck, maybe you'll be famous someday and it won't matter what color it is.:)

This might be OK if your kid wants to treat it as a toy, but our violin teacher rejected it as a "VSO" Violin Shaped Object and we had to get a real violin. It was interesting, it sounded ok at first, but directly compared to a real wood violin, it sounded tinny and sad.
