I read the reviews and thought "Okay, sounds good, I'll give it a try. But it's a PEELER, how amazing can it be?" I underestimated the experience, it really is amazing! This thing is like a hot knife through butter. It actually leaves a shiny surface, that's how smoothly it works. Practically no effort, and much faster than any peeler I've ever owned before - and I'm 70 so that's a lot of peelers. I've never had one shaped like this either - very comfortable. I almost wish I had more things to peel just so I can use it. ETA - just got back from the ER... Believe the reviews when you read how this thing is super sharp...

I bought this swivel vegetable peeler specifically to peel lemons, limes, and oranges so I could make my own essential oils—and it works perfectly. The swivel blade glides smoothly over the citrus, removing just the outer zest without digging into the bitter white pith. The ergonomic handle makes it easy to control and use for extended periods. The handle is nice and ergonomic, the blade is sharp, and it peels carrots and potatoes very easily. I had been rebuilding my stock of kitchen implements after losing them all last year in a house fire and had been missing a good peeler. I took a chance on this one, and glad I did. It's very nice.
