I don't always peel cucumbers for salad, but I have been making a new "cucumber salad" like my mother used to do. And, I prefer in this recipe to use peeled cucumbers. I can't believe how well this works! And it was so cheap! It's very sharp, takes off just the right amount of peeling, l love it!

This is a very nice peeler. After using my mom’s old peelers from the 60s, which were often aggravating to use, I bought this peeler and could not be happier. The handle is comfortable and while the blade does take off a little thicker peel than the old style peeler, it sure makes the job quicker and easier. I hand wash it and once it’s dry, I reattach the plastic blade guard before putting it in the drawer.
