Used it during my first hunt of the year. Didn't need it for Binoculars, but kept range finder, Compass (beware of magnets on lid) mosquito spray, face paint. Anything I needed regularly that I didn't want to take my backpack off for constantly. I have wide shoulders and it did rub on my neck slightly. I wish it had moly straps on bottom or front to add knife or secondary pouch. I ended up sliding my fixed blade with sheath on the bottom strap of the buckle and it worked pretty well ... show more

I’ve tried several different brands of bino cases and none check as many boxes as this case. Personally, I love the magnetic rear-opening-forward design and that is what originally drew me to Spika since most cases these days are forward-rear-opening with a latch. I have owned a pair of that design and lost a pair of binoculars while going through tough terrain. That has never happened in 5 years since I bought the Spika case. Quality control lacking the small straps that attach to Bino ears were sewn to the wrong harness straps. They had sewn them to the lower straps and they should have been on the upper straps. Will have to cut them loose and sew to the correct location. But this is a fine case good material good design, the lid is the biggest difference to me there is no way it will allow the Bino's to fall out.
