I was excited to pick up this Citizen watch because I’ve always appreciated the brand’s reliability and clean design. Unfortunately, my experience with this particular piece hasn’t lived up to those expectations. The watch *looks* nice at first glance, but a few things stood out right away. The band and buttons feel noticeably cheaper than what I’m used to from Citizen—lighter, less solid, and not as refined in their finish. There were also some unfamiliar markings on the case and dial that didn’t match what I’ve seen on other Citizen models. Because these details didn’t sit right with me, I brought the watch to a local watch expert. After examining it, they suggested it may be a “gray market” watch. According to them, while some of the internal mechanics might be genuine Citizen parts, several of the cosmetic components—like the band, buttons, and exterior details—appear to be secondary‑market or non‑original replacements. I’m not saying the watch is unusable, but the overall quality and authenticity concerns make it hard to recommend. If you’re considering this model, I’d suggest buying directly from Citizen or an authorized retailer to ensure you’re getting the real thing with the build quality the brand is known for. ... show more
