I'm glad I ignored a lot of the negative reviews and grabbed this case. This is an excellent case for the price. It went on easily, holds my phone snugly, keeps the camera lenses and screen off of any surfaces, doesn't wobble when I lay it flat, and it's clear and shows off my new blue phone. Some texture on the sides for a better grip would have been nice, but this case is still not hard to hold onto. For reference, I'd say this case is easier to hold than the phone by itself. This case is also comfortable enough that I never think about the fact that I'm holding onto a case. I just get to enjoy using my phone without worrying about dropping it. That said, I haven't dropped it yet, so I can't say for certain how much protection the case would offer, but it feels sturdy enough that I think it would mitigate any impact. As for the buttons, I think a lot of people complaining about the button labels and textures are forgetting this case only costs $12. Are the buttons flat, yes. Are they impossible to find with your finger, no. Each button has little grooves on either side that you can easily find with your finger until you develop muscle memory. It took me all of 20 minutes to get into the habit of finding the buttons without looking. As far as the text on the buttons and the side of the case, it's not some glaring affront to the eyes. I wouldn't have thought twice about the text other than having seen some people complain about it on here. If that sort of thing bothers you, you should probably spend more than $12 on your phone case. Originally, I was buying this as a cheap temp case until the $90 Mous case I wanted was back in stock, but after seeing what a good job this $12 case does, I might save ~$80 instead and just go with this Spiegen unless/until it fails. If you need a case for your new phone, do yourself a favor and just spend the $12 to buy this one. It will be money well spent. ... show more

My new Spigen Ultra Hybrid case iPhone 12 Pro Max is good. I have been buying these Ultra Hybrid cases for years for my work phones. They are consistently built well, have good grip and protection, and the price is much lower than other cases. Some negative comments on the redesign had me worried, but I'm pleased with the case now that I have it. The button design changed, and is more subtle to the eyes and touch. I'm not finding it to be a problem, though others might. I like the angular feel of the side bumpers more than I expected, and the grip on the sides is still good relative to previous designs. I also like that Spigen now includes tabs on the protective tap the case ships with, making it easier to peel out before use. This case is a good, especially for the price. ... show more

This was a last minute purchase since I had the iPhone come in much earlier than expected. The phone case arrived within 24 hours of the purchase. Pros: Clear case, came clean. Sleek design, doesn't feel bulky. Cheap! Fits the phone well. I haven't done a drop test... This is an expensive phone; I don't plan on purposely dropping it. Although I feel if it were to drop, it's protected. Wireless charging still works. Easy to clean. (finger-prints are bound to happen, but it'll wipe off) No scratches (yet). Buttons have a small indication, so you can feel for where they are located without looking. Cons: It does have a blue-ish hue to it which alters the color of the phone (gold) just slightly. The back appears closer to a white. Buttons are slightly harder to press, but not enough for me to really struggle. This could just be the nature of how flat the iPhone edges are. I don't care for the texts on the edges, but this was a cheap phone case that works. So you are paying for what you get. I do feel you get your value's worth, in comparison to Apple cases ($50!) and other brands which normally runs $20+. ... show more

I bought this for my wife who loves her current clear Apple branded case, which is too slippery for it's own good. I have a Spigen case for my phone and love it, so why not get one for my wife. Maybe this one will protect the screen better and prevent the countless drops of the phone that constantly break the obligatory screen protector needed due to the slippery case. This case looks smooth, but is not slippery like Apple's own version. This is an excellent case. It is sturdy and feels like it provides ample protection while still being minimal. I've used the Korean brand Ringke for many years, and this one does feel to be a step above that one.
