This is truly a beautiful piece, it was easy to assemble. The finish was much lighter than I thought it would be, but it works because it is lighter, I think it makes it stand out vs. blending in with all of the other wood tones. First of all allow me to say how much I love a small American business and it's owners taking pride in being great at what they do. This table is perfect for indoors or outdoors. The top is heavy and thick one piece slab. It's nicely planed and sanded smooth. It's dry and ready for a finish should you order it unfinished as I did. The legs are heavy and thick natrual cedar and if you know cedar, it smells amazing! It's also natrualy insect and rot resistant. My table came promptly and packaged perfectly. The attention to sanding the live edge top is brilliant. The assembly only took 10 minutes and was a breeze. I stained my with Valspar natrual CedarTone. Turned out beautifully . See pic. It matched the other furniture I have perfectly at less that half the cost of the other companies making these type of tables. As a matter of fact, I almost paid triple the price of this table prior to finding this one. I was promised a discount due to sloppy workmanship of 50 percent. They only refunded $20. My table came with nicks in the wood, the stain had dripped everywhere, some spots were blotchy and had no stain. Very hard to put together,

We have a cabin and we're looking for a coffee table that fit the character or our cabin. We saw this one and instantly fell in love with it. After reading the reviews we decided to purchase it. It is normally 44" in length but our space is very small so I emailed SRL and had them make it 35" long. Some of the reviewers stated they received their tables and the top wasn't one single slab, I understand each piece is different but I wanted to make sure ours was one single slab so I mentioned that in my email as well. They responded very quickly and said no problem to the 35" and single slab. I have to say their customer service is amazing. You can tell they really value their customers. After the piece arrived, we took it up to the cabin and I couldn't wait to put it together. It is beautiful in every way. Heavy and amazing quality. Great value for price. I live in a mountain town and all the furniture stores carry similar pieces. This was half the price and just as well made as anything similar I've seen. Table has a beautiful live edge, solid, single piece of wood. Read some other reviews so just used a rubber mallet to put it together and it worked well. Came in a timely manner. ... show more

Overall I am fairly pleased with the quality of this item, but I removed a star because the table top on the one we received was not made out of a single log (like the picture on Amazon, or like another reviewer's picture), but three logs glued together. The logs are mismatched and the thicknesses of the logs are not the same. I can understand the need to splice logs together, but why not try to match colors and take the time to plane them down to one thickness? These are supposed to look rustic, but in my opinion this makes the carpentry look a little amateurish. In the end this was not a deal breaker for us, so we kept the item. A word of warning - be careful what liquids get on the finish! We had an alcoholic beverage spill on our table and it turned the clear finish into a milky color (see second picture). I attempted to sand it out and then re-finish it, but it is still visible. ... show more

Love our new coffee table, my son put it together with no problem. At first we didn't use the wood glue because it went together tightly , after a couple months it did loosen up and Hubby put the wood glue on it and it's been great ever since.
