Great case, exactly what I wanted, but it comes with awful permanent text on it (details like where it was made and what type of technology it has) that you can't get rid of and is totally visible on the top and side of the case.

The case feels great, but it has two flaws that mean I'm likely going to switch back to Ringke once they make a completely clear case for the Pixel 4 XL. 1) It has "Spigen Inc in Irvine California Made in South Korea P4XL UH #1" printed along one edge and "Air Cushion Technology" printed on top as well as their logo printed on another side. Why buy a clear minimalist case only to have a bunch of junk printed on it? 2) The plastic scratches easily. I've been using it for less than a month, and the hard plastic back already has a 1.5" long scratch through it. The case overall is pretty good, but I had a better experience with the almost identical looking clear Ringke case for my old Pixel 2 XL. I'll switch back once they make one for this model and keep using this Spigen one until then. ... show more

So far so good. It comes with spare orange button. A bit of a struggle to find where to grab and pull that plastic sheet off the transparent back. Other than that - good case for this price. I'm obviously not planning to throw my phone everywhere for the sake of testing this case... But it looks like it's capable to protect phone from at least minor damage such as scratches.. Black outer frame feels very nice when touching, clear back doesn't feel sticky, however it does get covered in fingerprints and smudges really quick. It is sick and sits pretty tight and would definitely hold a pop up button or a ring. ... show more

Wireless charging is very inconsistent. I tried 3 different wireless chargers that went from From oldest to newest charger 1. Not charging at all 2. Switching between charging and not frequently 3. To trickle charging on a 15w charger If I remove the case all of them charge appropriately. If the case was easy to remove when I wanted to charge I might be able to live with it but the snug to the point of worrying about damaging the phone to all the text written all around the sides I'm picking up another case. ... show more

    • Best looking Pixel 4 case
I've been using Spigen cases for years, mostly the thin fits on a Pixel 2 XL, 3a, and now the 4 XL. The rubber bumpers of the Ultra Hybrid add slightly more thickness to the phone than the Spigen Thin Fit case, but I expect the softer rubber will scratch the phone edges less than the hard plastic Thin Fit did after a few months of use and dirt getting between the phone and the case on my previous phones. The Ultra Hybrid's power button cover is white to match the white version's back, but the case also comes with an orange power button cover that can be switched out to maintain the factory appearance. The clear portion comes with a removable plastic film to protect it from scratches during shipping. My only complaint for the case is that if I used the black metal backing plate for my magnetic vehicle dash mount it would look out of place and possible cause the back to buldge out because there is not indent in the case for a metal plate like there is on the Thin Fit. Because of this I've ordered an OhSnap phone grip/magnetnto put on the back of it. ... show more

I have the clear case for the Pixel 4xl. The Good: It feels good in my hands. Much better than holding the naked phone. All 3 buttons work well and you can feel the click. Not mushy. Active edge works fine. Wireless charging works. It doesn't block the charge port for potentially bulky plugs. The price is nice. The Bad: Printing on the side. Not super noticeable on the clear version, but it is there none the less. Shows fingerprints easily. I don't know how well it actually protects against drops as I haven't dropped my phone yet. I'm using this case as a fill-in until I can get a proper Otterbox. The materiel feels a bit too ridged so I'm dubious as to how much it will actually work in a drop. The rubberized cases have a bit more give in the corners, this case does not. The raised edges will help keep your phone and camera lenses from getting scratched on a table though. ... show more

I wanted a case that looked as close to not having case as possible while still providing reasonable protection, and this matte black Spigen Ultra Hybrid fit the bill perfectly. Aside from having some raised edges it looks just like the phone. The clear back still lets my Oh So Orange Pixel shine through and the matte black matches the edges perfectly. I especially like that it includes two colored buttons in white and orange that you can swap out if desired. Really great detail. ... show more

The things that I like are buried under the growing mound of frustration with the phone. I like the camera of course and have taken some nice photos. I bought it because it is supposed to stream audio to my new ReSound Quattro hearing aids but alas it does not work. Most USB audio headphone adapters do not work, only the rare few and even fewer of those offer high quality audio. The latest quick chargers that work with most new phone will not work with the Pixel 4 XL. This phone requires special USB cables and chargers. Of course there are reasons in each case why Google engineers chose not to allow this or that but it all comes down to a complete lack of fault tolerance and a disregard for the buyer. Motion/radar features are completely overrated and never used. It is a pinch to make such an expensive mistake but there it is. In every way that I need to use this phone it provides frustration and ultimate failure. I will not buy another phone without quality audio from a built in headphone jack or without a SD card slot. ... show more
