Appears to e a nice piece. The kick stand collapses every time you lift the the iPad up. Looks really good but my wife definitely gave it a thumbs down.

I bought this because it was the only rugged looking case available for my soon-to-arrive iPad Pro. I fully expected to replace it with a more well known brand when one came available. Imagine my surprise when I found it to be superior to the Otterbox case on my previous model iPad. - one piece design means it installs/uninstalls in seconds - stiff yet rubbery material provides great protection and a great fit. The raised edges wrap around the edges of my iPad just enough to hold securely, yet don’t get in the way of swiping/dragging/etc -half the thickness and weight of Otterbox, yet still plenty of protection - no screen protector is actually a plus for me as think that screen protectors on devices are the 21st century equivalent of plastic on the furniture, and always had to take the extra time to cut it off before installing it. - cradle for Apple Pencil is perfectly placed to allow it to charge when not in use. - kickstand opens quickly and stays securely closed when not in use I’m going to be hard pressed to find an upgrade; especially at this price.

So this case by itself is light, the iPad Pro 12.9 is light by itself but together the combo is heavy. To put the iPad in the case was super easy took 5-10 seconds. I don’t know why people are saying the screen is flush with the case but I don’t have that issue. There’s a decent lip. I do have a glass protector installed on the screen as well.the kick stand is sturdy and there is no wobbling like I have seen other commenters suggest. BUT slot for the Apple Pencil Gen 2 needless to say is a pain because it’s no wide enough so I have to sorta shove it in. And it’s a pain to get it out. So there are pros and cons that I noticed first getting it. I’m not happy with this case overall but it’ll keep my $1700 IPad safe for the time being till I can find another case. If there are any updates while I start to use it I will re-update. Hope this helps someone. Update: This case has a major annoyance that I’m back at finding another case. The corners on the Apple pen side do not stay on the case. The iPad pops out and it is super annoying. And I don’t feel comfortable having my $1700 iPad inside this case. This sucks I had high hopes.

It's fairly nice overall, but it has a couple large problems. The front bezel is extremely shallow and thin, offering minimal if any protection at all were the device to fall face-down. Flexing alone would probably be enough for the screen to take the fall fully and get scratched to hell. Another problem is that it has massive pointless empty pockets on either side of the pen holding segment, which will inevitably collect tons of dust and grime over time. From the pictures I had figured those were just some sort of indented design, but they're actually just massive hollows in the case which serve no purpose. A less significant problem is that I'm very upset this only comes in black. All previous generations had other colors as well, such as gunmetal. But they decided to be lazy this time around and only offer a single color.
