In 2019 I purchased this Spigen tempered glass screen protector for an IPhone XR because it advertised an easy, virtually bubble free application. I have used only Spigen cases for a while now, and have been more than impressed with them, so figured.. why not? My ex-husband applied it for me, since his eyesight is much better than mine, and he is a perfectionist. There was a very slight bubble on the right edge of the screen, which he simply could not get out, but it did not interfere with anything and was so minutely visible, that I forgot I even had a screen protector on my phone. Fast forward to July 2023, and a bazillion hours of Iphone usage, several hundred catastrophic drops from all heights and angles later, I awoke to find the right side of my screen cracked, right where the bubble had been. Knowing what it cost and the time involved to have the screen replaced, (I am on fixed income and live 130 miles one way from the closest repair center) I was sick. I decided to research whether or not I could replace the screen myself. Thankfully, the first article I chose stated that lots of times, it is the screen protector and not the screen that is broken! OMG! I had forgotten that I had a screen protector on my phone! I slowly but easily removed the protector from my phone, and lo and behold, my iPhone screen was just as sparkling clean and perfectly intact as the day it was bought! I immediately ordered another Spigen screen protector! You receive 2 in each order, but I have moved and still in the process of unpacking, so no clue where the 2nd protector is, and don’t care. The cost if only for one, is MORE THAN WORTH THE PRICE! When I received the protector, which came much quicker than the MAJORITY of AMAZON PRIME shipments these days, I took a deep breath, cleaned my glasses, pulled up my big girl britches, and followed the very simple application video on Amazon and the instructions to the letter. Perfectly flawless application! Zero bubbles, lined up perfectly! It is on my good ole iPhone so nicely, that I will most likely, forget that it is on my phone again. We ordered this screen protector with installation kit to go on a new iPhone XR and it worked PERFECTLY! Over the past 15 years I've applied about 2 dozen different types of screen protectors from the usual well known manufacturers to our many electronic devices and phones and this one from Spigen is by far the easiest, most well thought out, and best of them all. The keys to this design's success are the included one piece tray or frame that holds the screen protector for you and keeps it clean as you lower the entire thing onto the screen of your phone so it will automatically be positioned correctly the very first time and the pre-applied adhesive layer that spreads out perfectly to literally suck the screen protector down on to the phone's screen. Your fingers never have to touch the edges or underside of the screen protector as it is being applied so it will stay perfectly clean, and the guiding frame eliminates you trying to eyeball both the edges of the protector and the device's screen as you try to keep everything lined up just right as they come together but instead something usually ends up being just a wee bit off somewhere. There are no sprays to apply or little packs of gel adhesive to open and spread across the screen while desperately trying to not contaminate your just cleaned screen. There is a great brief video on the Spigen website you should watch before you try the installation that takes you through the steps in the correct order and for once a product is actually as easy as they make it look. It is also very helpful Spigen includes 2 of the screen protectors in the box so if you do mess up the installation process somehow you can simply apply the 2nd one without having to buy another kit. Or it can be a spare you can save and apply if the first one eventually becomes damaged. After our screen protector was applied to the iPhone XR we could see how perfectly even and centered the spacing was around all sides of the screen, and we then placed the phone into a new Otterbox Symmetry Clear phone case which worked perfectly with the screen protector. The edges of the case do not bump up against the screen protector anywhere which could cause problems such as lifting and bubbles. We did see on the Spigen website that this screen protector is designed to work correctly with their version of a clear protective case so that is probably why it worked so well with our Otterbox Symmetry. All in all this Spigen screen protector worked perfectly for us and we would recommend it to everyone. ... show more
