The plastic bumper around this case seems like it would protect pretty well and absorb shock. The matte glass on the back is pretty fingerprint-resistant, so that is nice. This is a really well made case. I got the matte version and it’s been a joy to use. The back feels very close to how the phone felt without the case. Even the buttons have retained their tactile feedback. I have not had another case that has interfered so little with the feel of the phone. Used it for just over 3 months. phone was seldom in the sun. No exposure to chemicals or extreme conditions. Yet it became so tinted you couldn't even see what color my phone is looking edgewise. The 3 month old case used to look exactly like its replacement (pictured).
