Review written at roughly 6 weeks after getting the case* Overall, the case has worked really well, has protected the phone from a few small drops without issues or anything. However the issue I am seeing that I am worried about is the bottom clear piece of plastic appears to be more brittle than the rest of the case. A small piece of plastic has already snapped off around the charging base of the phone from the clear plastic so that worries me more will break off over time. I was one the fence on buying this case. I wasn’t real sure if I would like it or not. But I can tell you that it looks way different in person and you will love it. I haven’t regretted buying this like some of the past phone cases and I don’t think you would either.

I love the design of the case the design is so beautiful, but sadly it seems the white part that goes around the charging port is very weak and starts bending and will eventually break. I have owned the case for 4 months as my primary case but sadly it already broke.

Speigen did it once again! I am happy they did another run with classic series cases. They put so much details on there cases as well making sure the quality meets there expectations. My one and only gripe would be is that I wish the buttons were a little more soft to push! Definitely not a deal breaker by any means. Since this case has rounded edges as opposed to flat ones that better match the shape of the phone like what most iPhone cases have and this is where the case causes issues for me. Since the edges are bulkier by being rounded, I had two wireless chargers I used regularly that couldn't be used with this case. The first was a MagSafe stand, which has a small lip at the bottom to keep the phone supported in portrait orientation. The curved edges both caused the phone to slip off that lip very easily and because it made the phone taller, it was now too tall to line up with the MagSafe puck, so it couldn't even be supported magnetically. Second wireless charger was a traditional upright one, and it again couldn't stay on either in portrait or landscape because the round edges caused it to slip off the lip that had no problem holding up cases with flat edges. An even bigger issue for me is that I can no longer use my phone with my Backbone controller, which I use frequently for games. I recently got the v2 Backbone One controller, which is USB-C and was designed with magnetic pieces so it could fit phones in cases, which the old version couldn't do. This Spigen case fits, but the USB-C plug can't fully plug into the iPhone because of how bulky the rounded edges are. I could take the case off the phone each time I want to use it, but that defeats the purpose of this new controller upgrade altogether. I have flat-edged cases that work perfectly fine with the Backbone. I really love the look and feel of this case. The classic iMac look is amazing and this was about to be my favorite case I've ever had and the red case matches my red MagSafe pop socket exactly. Unfortunately those rounded edges keep it from being usable for me in some ways. ... show more
