This helmet wall mount rack is really made for something like a motorcycle helmet but I was looking for some way to store my welding helmets away from the workshop between projects so that they wouldn't gather a bunch of dust. These helmet racks work very well. The large ball on top might look a little odd but at about 5 inches across it provides good support for a helmet. And the hooks below provide options for hanging a jacket, a small gear bag, or something else (in my case a bag with welding cap, safety glasses. hearing protection, and some replacement lenses). Although instructions were not included in the package, installation is straight forward. There are two holes intended for a screw fastener. Drywall-type fasteners are provided as well as color-coordinated caps to cover the screw heads. The mount itself is fabricated from metal and is quite sturdy. The arm the ball sits atop can swing side to side 180 degrees. My one concern is the wall mounting fasteners. They are what I'd think of as "light duty". They'll certainly hold the static weight of a helmet and I used them on drywall successfully. However I think if the helmet rack was intended to get frequent use, say from someone who rode their motorcycle every day, then I'd go to the local hardware store and upgrade to a more sturdy anchor than comes standard with the kit. This is simple enough but then the nice color-coordinated screw caps will likely not fit thereby lessening the nice appearance of the rack.

These helmet holders are great. They are solid quality and very easy to install. It makes my garage look more put together and protects my helmet while not in use. I'm very happy with it.

Holds are half helmets well on the wall. They were easy to install and seem to be sturdy.

The perceived size of the product and the actual size surprised me. Even with its smaller size, it actually fits perfectly into my XL helmet. There are no edges to damage the interior padding of the helmet and should accommodate small sized helmets as well. Made of a lightweight metal and sturdy once attached to a solid surface. I doubt the plastic screw caps will stay on for long. I feel confident the coat hook will hold a heavier jacket without issue. Again, solid mounting and this product will keep your gear off of the floor.

Read the description, the ball the helmet sits on is the size of a softball. they hold my heavy modular helmet, jacket and pants no problem. I had to paint one so they matched to make my wife happy. Much more coinvent than hanging them off the chin strap.
