The down cut spiral router bit leaves a nice clean top edge. I'm using it in a handheld plunge router with a circle jig to cut holes and recesses in DIY speaker boxes. I don't really have anything else to compare it to but it seems to be sharp, decent quality and cuts smooth. I ordered this for use in my CNC router. Had a production run of wooden pen cases to cut out (walnut and maple) and needed to order a new bit to avoid tearout. Took a chance on this one because the price was low. I wasn't expecting much, but it's still very sharp after cutting for 12+ hours. Might be just a hair bigger than 1/4", as my 1/4" indexing pins were a little loose in the positioning holes that this bit drilled. Regardless, I'll order more of these for future jobs for sure.
