Needed a new leveling bit for my current project ... leveling a walnut-resin slab for a fly tying workbench that I'm making. I like the four carbide cutter blade bits because I knew I could rotate or replace them when they dull with usage. So many types and styles to choose from. This one was perfect. Carbide blades stayed sharp even in dry hardwood. Can rotate blades when they finally do get dull. Used a 3.25 hp router which was capable of spinning this large bit. Very smooth finish ready for sanding with 220 grit sand paper. Took off 3/8 inch of dry cherry with no problem. Very pleased!

I bought this to use in a router sled, and it’s held up nicely. First project was a very large cherrywood slab covered in hardened resin. Went through it smooth for the first 40 minutes of near continual use. Once it started to feel slightly choppy, I just rotated the blades with the hex tool included, and it was good to go again. Slightly costly bit, but it feels worth it now that I’ve used it. If anything changes I’ll update this review.

Ran this cutter to flatten a 5x16 (2-5x8 sheets of MDF) spoil board. Worked great and plan on flattening some mesquite with it soon. Minus one star for not having any branding on package or cutter. I have other spetool endmills and cutters and they are all branded/labeled but this is pretty geneic.

This company has one too many reviews about this bit vibrating too much. They need to get this problem fixed before someone is permanently injured. I wouldn’t recommend this router bit at all, not even to someone I truly dislike. This thing shakes so bad it caused my router to explode, literally vibrated the handle off and the top cover. If my brother in law hadn’t been in the shop with me and pulled the plug on the router I would be out of work and going by the name “nubs”. I had to sell my Porter Cable router because it is now cursed If I had the choose between using this router bit or a blind date with Jeffrey Dahmer, I’m taking the latter. For clarity, I have to give a one star rating, I’d prefer rating this zero but the option isn’t there.
