EDIT: After 2 1/2 years the battery finally went dead. Really great since our Momentum watch cost about the same for a battery replacement and those only lasted just over a year. When the battery died on the watch described below I went to YouTube to get guidance on how to break the crystal. So we bought another and wow, the hads are dark and you can read them so I changed the review to 5 stars. It is now the perfect watch. Just buy a new one when the battery dies. This is for a person who swims with the watch 3 days a week 50 weeks a year. Old review: First, this is not too small. Hard to tell the difference from her last watch which is a bit larger. The numbers are very easy to read but where are the hands? Unless the light is strong, she can't read the watch because the contrast between the watch face and the hands is not enough. No problem so far with swimming but as she swims three times a week for 50 minutes I am sure we will find out if there is an issue and I will update this review. Our biggest worry on waterproof is after a battery change. She had a Swiss Army watch and it leaked after the battery was replaced. That was under warranty and she replaced it with a Momentum dive watch. That has gone through several battery changes but it costs $48 to change the battery at the factory and they only last just over 18 months. One was just a year. Last battery change also took a month so we bought this and hope the battery last longer. If it lasts more than 18 months we will be money ahead even if throw it out rather than replace the battery. I am an artist and accident prone. This watch has stood up to everything. I keep it kind of loose so I can push it back when I’m typing on my laptop, because otherwise it rubs. I’ve worn it swimming, both in the ocean and pools, with no ill effects. Two months later, it still looks great and has held up perfectly. I sometimes forget to take it off before painting, but so far, so good! I’m still training myself to look at my wrist instead of my phone. Fewer distractions while working has helped with managing my ADHD. I’m less likely to get pulled away if I don’t have notifications every time I look at the time. ... show more

As a worker in the medical field, I have always worn this type of watch! I like having both standard and military time and also the second hand movement. Watch has a durable silicone band and is very easy to read. I love the pink color, also!

Finally found a watch that fits my super tiny wrists!! I'm so glad I found this watch in petite. I was going to get the regular Speidel, but I was unsure if it would fit my tiny wrists as most watches don't. I figured I'd give the petite a try, and lo and behold; the first watch I've ever owned that I didn't have to cut another hole into to get it to fit! I love the pink color and the silicone band. It's water resistant and easy to clean, which is a must in healthcare. It's easy to read and I like the seconds intervals/military time on the face as well. ... show more

I love this watch! It appears to be very good quality. I had been looking for a nice watch with a rubber like band. Had only found cheap fitness trackers previously. This is a real quartz watch. This smaller size is just right for my small wrist. The band is thick and sturdy, yet very comfortable to wear. I am very happy with this and would recommend it. (As previous reviews have stated the hands are not illuminated. Well they are, but only when exposed to direct light for some time and then, because the luminous part is so thin it is hard to see.) For me this is not an issue. I would prefer to see it in the dark, but it’s not a deal breaker. I got the navy blue band and am very happy with it. ... show more

I was looking for a few primary criteria when searching for a watch that really narrowed down my choices: I wanted a small watch that wouldn't look oversized on my wrist, a silicone/rubber band that would stand up to life, and I needed it to be water-resistant. Speidel met all three criteria. I love the silicone band. I wash my hands constantly so leather bands just get torn up and look awful immediately; whereas these bands look great. As others have noted, the hands are lumnious, but only immediately after being exposed to direct sunlight. Don't rely on this as a feature. If you wake up in the middle of the night you will not be able to read your watch. I would have loved a "light up" watch face, but that feature is only available in the larger watch size, which I did not want. I don't think my wrists are particularly big, but I wish the watch band were a little longer; it would make the fit of the watch better. ... show more
