When I first started swimming with this thing it drove me nuts. It felt like it was constantly trying to drown me. But it takes practice and time to learn how to use it. A lot of online people recommend getting a snorkel with a valve to clear water automatically, but it isn't terribly difficult to clear yourself using a puff of air. Usually a little water collects in the bottom but can't come up into the mouthpiece because you are facing down. Honestly I like the fact that this snorkel is so simple. This was my first time using a training snorkel (scuba diver so has experience using snorkels). The assembly required some carefully curated power. After the assembly, it was easy to adjust to fit my face and it was comfortable. I can definitely feel the air restriction coming from the narrow tube, but not so much that I feel like suffocating, and hope to continue to use it for improving lung capacity. The only downside that makes me want to experiment more with the adjustment is--water seems to enter through between the mouth piece and the tube, and it gurgles (but don't enter my mouth/airway) when inhaling. ... show more

I absolutely LOVE this snorkel - I used a Finis snorkel for many years and just replaced it with this one. This snorkel is so comfortable on my forehead - I don't even mind swimming with it and it is easier to see with this narrow snorkel in front of my eyes. I am so glad I bought this!. It is hard to get the headstrap attached on at first, but using water on the snorkel might help - don't use rubbing alcohol - we tried that and the color scratched and smeared from the top ... show more

Nice, lightweight, comfortable, easy to use. I thought the removable mouthpiece was a good idea but the poor seal combined with a little suction from breathing allows a very small amount of water in. Unfortunately it's enough water to start gurgling after 2-3 minutes of continuous swimming.
