    • Best light for scuba diving plus Great Customer Service!
We've been diving for a ridiculous 32 years. But it's only 400+ dives. For someone who is not a "water person" and has a hard time stepping off the boat, having a bunch of stuff dangling off of me is not going to fly. I've cancelled a dive for less. My hubby has to do the camera work because I cannot deal with the whole process of getting a camera on and off the boat. So with that introduction, let me stress that I absolutely love this Orcatorch Dive Light! It's small, but mighty. So bright that the dive master sometimes moves my hand so I don't blind the poor fish/shrimp or whatever we're looking at. On night dives, I can illuminate the octopus without pointing directly at it, so hubby can get good pictures that aren't over-blown. This light is small and doesn't feel like "a lot of stuff" when I step off the boat. It's super easy to turn on and off. The laser feature? Wow! Love it! It's perfect when trying to point to "that thing" not the other thing. Seriously, this is a fantastic light. The battery lasts for both of our two tank dives if I don't leave it on constantly. We recharge it while we eat lunch and then it's good to go for the night dive. It's small, it's not bothersome to step off the boat with it attached to your arm, and it lights up stuff from a comfortable distance, plus the laser is really effective. After several other dive lights that were "noisy" and too big making them obnoxious as I tried to hold my mask and weight belt during a roll in entry - you know that tacky empty plastic noise when it's banging into everything as it dangles off your wrist - this one is "quiet". It's small. It's not banging into my chin as I step/roll off the boat. The batteries are rechargeable. Really love this light! I put a couple of knots in the wrist strap to shorten it dramatically to keep it snugged up to my wrist and prevent all of the obnoxiousness to a minimum. Not sure why there's so much rope? Maybe to wrap around a toddler's waist? A few knots are totally fine for a light this amazing. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but we both have one now, and we really love them! ... show more

The dive light came with 2 x 18650 rechargeable batteries with USB-C charging port on the battery so there is plenty of battery to last through a few dives with these batteries. The light operates fairly easily, as pressing the power switch twice will turn on/off the main light, while pressing continuously will activate the green laser. The light has a rather focus light which is fairly visible even diving during daytime. Green laser, on the other hand, adds to the “wow” factor. In my video I used the green laser on a blue gill and it showed up very cool! All and all, a great little dive light that serves also well as a pointing device in the water. Though it probably won’t last as strong or as long as a tech diving torch, it would be a great backup or a great main light for recreational diving. Highly recommended! ... show more

The ORCATORCH D570-GL is a great, compact dive light. It's solid construction and well balanced. Does Not feel cheap at all. IT's packaged very well as some of the other reviewers have mentioned, and comes with two rechargeable batteries. The 1500 lumens is incredibly bright, with the light showing up even in daylight diving. The green dot is a great added feature and is easy to point out items when the flashlight is both on or off. The green dot is bright enough to show up in daylight outdoors, and has become my dog's new favorite thing to chase around. Also, I discovered recently that the fish may want to chase the green dot as well - I guess it looks like something edible to them. The information packet in the packaging informs the user that this light is intended for under water use and will get warm. This is true, after a few minutes of using it above ground I did notice the light begin to heat up. I see no problem with this. I've tried to upload photos that show how you can tell what the light is shining on in daytime diving as well as illuminating small caves/crevices. When I get a proper night dive photos I'll upload those as well. ... show more

This is a very practical dive light. The white beam is bright and focused, while the green laser makes it easy to point out marine life or direct a dive buddy’s attention without having to swim closer. Both functions can be controlled independently, which is much more useful than having them permanently activated together. The light is compact enough to fit comfortably in one hand without feeling bulky, and the construction feels solid and suitable for underwater use. The laser remains surprisingly visible underwater, especially in darker or slightly murky conditions. I cannot confirm every advertised distance or runtime, but for normal recreational diving, the light performs well and is easy to operate while wearing gloves. Just use the laser responsibly and never point it toward anyone’s eyes or directly at marine life. Overall, it is a clever combination of a dependable dive light and a genuinely useful underwater pointer. ... show more

    • Great Punch, Simple Operation, and a Game-Changing Laser
My usual primary dive light is the Dive Rite CX3+, but I recently picked up the OrcaTorch D570-GL. I mainly use my lights during the day looking under deep reef ledges. Here is my real-world takeaway comparing the two: Brightness & Beam: I was genuinely surprised by how bright the D570-GL is. Even in broad daylight, the tight spot beam easily punches into dark shadows and deep pockets under ledges to spot hidden fish and critters. Switch Operation: I actually prefer the switch logic on the OrcaTorch D570 over the Dive Rite CX3+. On the CX3+, if you turn the light on and want to shut it off immediately, you have to cycle through all the power levels first which requires a lot of clicking. The D570 uses a straightforward double-click to turn on and double-click to turn off—no cycling through unwanted brightness modes. Laser Pointer: Holding down the power button on the D570 activates the green laser for as long as you press it. While I was diving solo on this dive and didn't need signaling, having tested the laser in the water, it is going to be an absolute game-changer on night dives and group dives for pinpointing critters. Battery, Charging & Price: The Dive Rite CX3+ runs about $20 more, but it features an external magnetic charger (meaning you never open the light body, decreasing chances of fouling the o-ring) and packs a larger 21700 cell with longer burn time. The OrcaTorch D570-GL uses a standard 18650 battery. You do have to unscrew the body to pull the cell out, but the battery itself features a convenient direct USB charging port. This means you don't need to purchase an expensive li-on battery charger. I do wish the D570 had a slightly longer continuous run time, but since I toggle it on and off between ledges rather than running it continuously, I didn't run out of power on my dive. It also comes with two batteries in case you need to swap them between dives. Weight: The D570 is significantly lighter than then CX3+. It's also not as girthy and feels more natural to hold. Verdict: If you want a punchy, compact dive light with dead-simple on/off operation and an integrated green laser for signaling and critter spotting, the OrcaTorch D570-GL is an excellent value and a fantastic light to keep in your kit. I’ve had the opportunity to put the ORCATORCH D570-GL 2.0 through extensive real-world testing in a variety of diving environments, and it has exceeded my expectations. I’ve used it during Public Safety Dive Team training in freshwater ponds and lakes, as well as in the open ocean in both crystal-clear and low-visibility conditions. The white light provides an excellent, bright beam with impressive range and clarity, making it suitable as either a primary recreational dive light or an outstanding backup light for more advanced dives. Battery life has been excellent throughout my training, and the lightweight design makes it comfortable to carry without adding unnecessary bulk to my gear. Where this light truly stands out is the integrated green laser pointer. It produces a highly visible beam underwater that allows you to safely indicate points of interest from a distance instead of having to swim directly to them. This significantly reduces the need to carry a separate metal pointer stick and allows divers to maintain proper buoyancy and a safe distance from marine life, delicate environments, or hazards. Even above the surface in broad daylight, I was able to clearly see the green laser at approximately 50 feet away, which speaks to its impressive visibility. Durability has also been outstanding. I conducted a drop test of the light twice incase I accidently dropped the light prior to a dive, and it continues to function flawlessly with no damage or performance issues. Overall, I highly recommend the ORCATORCH D570-GL 2.0 to divers of all experience levels. Whether you’re looking for a dependable primary light for recreational diving or a reliable backup for technical, public safety, or professional diving, this light delivers exceptional performance. Its powerful beam, highly effective laser pointer, long battery life, lightweight construction, and rugged durability have earned it a permanent place in my dive kit, and I expect it will remain my number two light for the foreseeable future. ... show more

I love this light! Waterproof, perfect for diving at night, love the lazer and the fish chase it around too. Wish I would have gotten this sooner. Best used under water but for quick use on land it literally reaches the stars and is great for night tidepooling. Easy to use and small. Love the extra battery provided too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Game-Changer for Night Diving — Perfect for Lobster Hunting in Florida! I’ve used a number of dive lights over the years, but the ORCATORCH D570-GL 2.0 is in a league of its own. The combination of a powerful 1500-lumen white LED and the precision green beam is a total game-changer, especially for night dives and underwater exploration. What really impressed me was how well the green beam worked when searching for lobsters during a recent night dive off the Florida coast. The lobsters’ eyes reflected the green light like tiny headlights in the dark—it made spotting them so much easier than with a standard white beam alone. I picked up more bugs on that dive than I have all season! The construction is solid and clearly made for serious divers. I’ve taken it on several deep dives and even a bit of cave exploration, and it’s held up flawlessly. The rechargeable battery lasts longer than expected, and the switching mechanism is intuitive even with gloves on. Whether you’re a dive instructor, a cave diver, or just someone looking to add more lobsters to your cooler, this light is worth every penny. I won’t dive at night without it now. I wouldn’t recommend this light for twilight or day diving.
