  • awesome intake kit for the price
it dropped right in, looks great, sounds like a supercharger and adds noticable power to my 5.4 AWD expedition when climbing hills. installed easy. i had a friend give me a hand so it went real quick with both of us working. it is more technical than other intake kits i have installed but for the fit, finish, and effectiveness of this part at this price it cant be beat. ... show more

  • Great value and sound
I put this on all my Expys for years. This one is on my 2004 Eddie Bauer 5.4 They are made by K▪N. Just more affordable. Sounds great, better throttle response, mileage drops bout 1mpg. But no big deal. Cleans up engine compartment as well. I also put heat reflective sheets around breather to reflect heat away from intake... Hope this helps you guys ... show more

  • Ok with some work.
So first of all I spent over an hour trying to assemble the heat shield. Could not get the holes to line up. Finally realized one of the flanges was bent the wrong way. I flattened it and bent it the other way with my metal break and it lined up perfect. It did mess up the finish by having to rebend it. One clamp would not tighten up enough and the smaller clamps are so cheap so I just replaced all the clamps. The hoses were too short so I had to replace those. The grommet was too small for the hole so I have rtv around it until I can get a grommet that fits. On a positive note my truck does run better but I would probably pay a little more and get the K&N kit next time. ... show more

  • worth every penny
It performs really well and it did give my f-150 a little bit more power that i noticed right away and my fuel mileage has gone up a little bit .. was easy to install .. i would recomend this to anyone who wants a little bit more out of there truck plus it looks really good under the hood as well.

  • Great value, Great Price, Great Parts!
Purchased this product and it came with all parts needed plus a few extras (few extra nuts). It took me a little more than 1 hour to install completely. More responsive throttle and makes a deep hum when you give it a lot of throttle. I think the hp gain is only a few at most though. I would have given it a 5 star rating but part of one of the pipes had a scuff mark on it like it had been dropped on concrete but for the price I am not complaining. Works just as well as K&N kits I have owned previously. I would definitely recommend this kit. ... show more

  • Double overhead cam owners beware. Not compatible.
This product is supposed to be compatible with a 1999 5.4L V8 Lincoln Navigator. It is not. The intake coupling is too small to fit the dual-port intake on the engine; and after acquiring one that did fit (another $30 out of pocket), the actual pipe is about 8 inches too long on the side with ports. It doesn’t line up with the heat shield and filter assembly by a long shot The pipe also has two vacuum ports; on the 5.8L one of those ports isn’t used (connects to port on the engine itself), and the other line is on the opposite side of the pipe, meaning you’d also have to pay to install a significantly longer vacuum line as well as plug the second port. The only thing that DID work out of the box was the heat shield and filter assembly. It fit perfectly, and the filter appears to be fairly high quality, so can’t fault them on that. I will fault them on the absolutely horrendous instructions. It’s primarily common sense, but if you don’t have the savvy to do most of this job on your own, I’d suggest looking for a tutorial some where. I effectively paid around $200 for an air filter and two pieces of thing black metal. I have never been so disappointed with a purchase in my life, let alone automotive. Only brand I’ve dealt with that advertises for a vehicle and engine type it so clearly was never meant to work with. Buyers beware. ... show more
