I’ve used them for years and other vehicles I believe they’re a good K & N alternative and I think they last just as long they are a dry filter but I have use the canon oil products on them. I have to give this filter a 4/5 stars due to the fact that it doesn’t sit properly inside the factory air box. It is extremely hard to line up the stock air clips. Fortunately I know how to cut rubber well, so I modified the side slightly to make it close completely flat with the factory air box. Another thing worth mentioning is to dry this filter out as much as possible before installing it in your car. I let it sit in a plastic container with a fan on the highest setting for 8 hours. This will dry out as much of the oil as possible which is what you want, otherwise the oil will eventually make your MAF sensor fail. ... show more

    • A great altrrnative to higher priced filters.
Fit exactly for the application, came as expected. I use it in my 2010 CVPI Interceptor and no recalibration is necessary, have already seen better mileage in town and highway with a very noticeable improvement from off idle to above most used mid range RPM. The cold air induction the Interceptors come with and larger throttle body are naturally louder than regular set ups as used on Marquis and general public Crown Victorias, the CVPIs were not available to the general public till they were no longer made after 2011. but really didnt notice excessively louder intake sound but immediately heard a difference in the exhaust sound, not to the point it is an irritating bark but a stronger pulse balance noise that just tells the ears its doing its thing. This is my second CVPI after 7 years of excellent service on a 2007 highway patrol unit, it was still a very dependable powerful car for a 4200lb 4 door. This 2010 already had more power than the earlier models with different tuning, transmission shift points and line pressures etc. Then after new plugs and the filter with some highway miles it cleaned out and can still blow the doors off newer cars no problem with the same differential ratio my older one had. Tghey came with gearing for city or highway applications mine have both had the highway set up and only turn 2000 at 70mph with a 5800rpm red line. ... show more

    • Impressive product! Great upgrade for a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis
I installed this in a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis. There was an immediate difference. Snappier throttle response & a little extra growl on intake noise. The overall build quality is good, but not quite as well built as a K&N. Still, even that wouldn't stop me from buying addition filters from this company. For the price, it is well worth it. Unlike K&N filters that arrive over oiled & require a wipe down before installing, this filter was 100% perfect & ready to install. Absolutely no over-oiling like the K&N filters. I have noticed a slight increase in mileage. Maybe 1-1.5mpg more at best. But I do alot of stop & go. So getting any additional mpg's is a very good thing. Hey, an extra 20+ miles of range from your tank from just adding an air filter like this. Yep, done! ... show more

    • I got 12,000 miles, and I wash it when I service my car.
It is nice to be able to wash it and use it some more. We have some dusty days from a feed mill close by, that stuff can make you replace conventional filters. More BANG for your BUCK.

Fair Value compared to some other's out there, super easy to replaced the old with this new filter. Recently installed the filter in my car and had noticeable throttle response. Got this for long term and repeated use with the cleaner and oil solution. Will buy that oil kit next. Do your research and buy what you want, but I recommend this filter. ... show more

    • Poor Man's K&N Filter
Have sworn by K&N for 20 years but searched on Amazon and found this at about half the price. If there's any comparative deficiency in quality or performance I sure can't tell. We live about 1/4 mile down a gravel road that's either dusty or muddy and 5 months after installation I popped the filter housing open, took a garden hose to spray out the particulates then shot it with 80 psi air after it dried. It'll stand up to vigorous cleaning no problem, equal or maybe better than K&Ns. Very well made, even seems a tad more robust. ... show more
