  • Good direct fit replacement for an OEM 2007 Honda Pilot.
This radiator was a direct replacement for a 2007 Honda Pilot. Every fitting was in the right place, and it presented no difficulties connecting it in place of the OEM radiator. I noticed that this radiator had less plastic at the top and bottom than the OEM radiator had, which hopefully means it will be less prone to the cracks and leaks the OEM Honda radiators are known for. Of particular importance, if your Honda radiator is leaking, replace it timely. The transmission fittings that connect to the radiator are steel, in an aluminum radiator, and that can cause corrosion and the contamination of the transmission fluid with coolant, resulting in a ruined transmission. My Honda OEM radiator failed at 9 years and 94,000 miles. Previously almost unheard of, but modern radiators have so much plastic, and the aforementioned steel fittings in an aluminum radiator, that failure is almost inevitable. Replace it before your transmission is at risk. ... show more

  • Never done it before, but I did it without destroying the car
I have never replaced a radiator before, and I don't usually work on a car because my wife won't let me. I have a 2008 Honda Pilot. I read all the reviews and the service manual, and I thought that I might be able to replace it within a day. I was wrong. It took me few days just to remove one of the fan, because one of bolt bounded to fan strut. It took me few days to figure out how to get to it and remove it with my Dremel. I also made a mistake without removing one of black cap for the upper coolant tube when I installed it. Installing the radiator was the easiest of all. It fits perfectly. I did order few 1/4-5/8" tube clamps and 4 feet of 3/8" transmission oil ine, because the clamps were rusted to a point that I can't remove them. I have it for a week without leaking, and I will keep an eye on it. ... show more

  • Not really spectra’s fault!
UPS delivered a box to my door containing this radiator. I walked up to the box and saw that it looked like it had been thrown to my door like the newspaper man delivers his product. Inside was a destroyed radiator. Can’t blame amazon or spectra so I’m giving this 4 stars. Not 5 because the contruction of the radiator (besides the fact it was banged up) didn’t seem as good as denso or another quality important. ... show more

  • Good replacement
My husband installed this in my 2006 Honda Pilot when we discovered a coolant leak from the old one. This is the same brand radiator that was being sold for $100 more at the nearby national auto store. It was easy for me to watch him install, though a little hot (record heat in June in Tucson, AZ that weekend). The radiator seems to function as a radiator should. My a/c is working at an idle once more, and there is no evidence of any new leaks from this new radiator 3 months later. I will try to keep this review updated should we encounter any issues with it. ... show more

  • Fit like an OEM radiator
Radiator for my 06 Honda Pilot arrived just fine. Took about 3 hours to replace. Its been in a month and survived Seattle's record 108 degree day with no problem.

  • Good, but check transmisssion cooler connections.
Fits like the OEM. Beware of the transmission lines though. They are flare fittings and one of mine was flared poorly and came apart as I was hooking up the transmission line. If it wouldn't have come apart on assembly, I would have had quite the mess. I was able to use the old solid connections from the leaky radiator. Check the flare fittings before installation. ... show more
