  • Second times the charm, sort of...
First order was fit tested using Amazon's service, and it was completely wrong, which is just as well since the unit I received was suspect anyway. It was shipped in a double box, which is good, but the second box was so oversized that the first inner box had plenty of room to slam around inside it, which led to the numerous protrusions on the radiator (all plastic) to poke and tear numerous holes all over the place. There were some foam blobs that may have been formed in place, but even the inner box was so oversized that it all got loose by the time UPS had finished working their magic, and it was all in a heap at the bottom of the torn and punctured box. Contacted Amazon to initiate a return and all of that went as it should, so then I ordered a replacement for my replacement, making sure that I had an actual picture of the real product to compare with my own this time. Well, shame on me, I only compared two dimensions, the overall width and height. The second unit was properly packed (with corm fitted EPS blocks on each end and the radiator tanks completely protected within precisely formed cutout that were made specifically for this product. This allowed for zero shifting or movement within the single box, and the radiator core faces themselves were centered well enough in the middle of the box that nothing could touch them unless the box was completely crushed (no UPS, that was not a challenge to try). Everything looked just great, except for one glaring difference, and that was that my supposed OEM spec replacement was 3/16" thinner where it counts (the finned core) across the entire radiator. Since the new one is only about an inch thick, that 3/16" is of potentially huge significance, but after having already wasted a week screwing around with the first wrong sized product, I'm going to have to take my chances with this bait and switch garbage out of simple necessity, since I need to get my Jeep back on the road (I'm involved in actual essential services, not hair cuts or tattoos). I also fell for the extended warranty so I guess we'll see if the shrunk junk can do the job. I'll be sure to post up again if it does or doesn't, but the fact that it is sooo much thinned than the original equipment that it replaces doesn't do a whole lot for my confidence level. Plus it's just a slimy stunt to pull. It's always the same these days; every business wants to try and save a buck to make more money, and ultimately working folks get screwed and it's all business as usual. ... show more

  • No issues, good price
I replaced the OSC radiator, compatible for Jeep Libertys from 2002-2006 3.7l, v6, with this one, despite being more expensive at the time ( no longer bc the OSC has almost doubled in price in two months). The OSC was factory flawed, holes misaligned, some undrilled). Spectra is a brand I have seen at auto part shops so I had more trust it than the unknown (to me) OSC brand. This was easy to install and has been fine so far ( though not much driving as the world is on house arrest). Amazon made it so easy to exchange- I only paid the price difference for this part, UPS picked up the flawed OSC unit at my shop and delivered this to the shop the next day. My mechanic flat out told me the OSC was junk. Oh well, she's up and running with this one. ... show more

  • Perfect Fit!
Perfect fit! I No delivery damage! Was a little scared by mentions, by others here, of not having the plastic" clip" location (drivers side front) for the trans cooler and the ac condenser. Mine came with the all the nuts installed in their locations along with these mounting locations (as mentioned) molded into the correct position. A perfect "drop-in"!! The only reason for a 4 star rating is It has only been in the car for 2 moths, I will get back if it fails. ... show more

  • OEM quality, inexpensive radiator. Gets the job done!
Perfect Fit for my wife's 2003 Jeep Liberty LTD. 3.7L Auto. Everything lined up identical to OEM. In fact, in every aspect, this part looked liked the original equipment radiator. I noticed that is has additional female threaded fittings for (a transmission cooler?) other applications as maybe this is more of a universal fit that spans many models/years. In any case, remounting the AC condenser, transmission cooler(s) was by far the hardest part. Looks like this part will go with the (12 year old) Jeep to the scrap yard, as it should last. Do not let the low price fool you; this part is OEM quality. At $89 delivered and $30 in additional new hoses, clamps etc.. (and with 2.5 hours of my labor) , I saved almost $250 from the cheapest quote to do this job ($350) from 3 different trusted auto shops in my area (forget the Jeep dealer! sheesh $559 quote!) Summary: Trust Spectra and Amazon to get your cooling system in fine working order before the brutal (at least in my area- Florida) spring and summer weather! ... show more

  • Incorrect radiator for 2005 model.
Ordered a new replacement radiator with protection plan for my 2005 Jeep Liberty Limited 3.7 liter on July 2,2020. It arrived quickly and in great shape on July 5th. See picture 1 Alas, the radiator is identical except for it having two additional ports which my original does not have. See picture. I spent hours looking through my barn, garage, and sheds for some kind of threaded 'plug' I could install to close the unneeded ports so I could get my sole vehicle back on the road, but didn't have any success. I'm not sure of the diameter or the thread pitch necessary. I would love to get two properly fitting plugs as soon as possible. Thank You, Vincent Sumoski ... show more

  • 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport Replacement
I decided to purchase this radiator for my Jeep Liberty 2002 Sport despite the bad reviews because I saw that Rock Auto carried the same radiator for a few more dollars and I trust their parts. I wrote this review because one of the others noted that there were two problems for a 2002 Jeep Liberty. The lower AC condenser brackets are spaced closer than the factory radiator but I still managed to get the brackets through the air dams without having to modify anything. I did not have any issues with the fan mounting screws, they were spaced properly. It took about 3.5 Hours to replace and I also did the thermostat, hoses and flushed out the reserve tank. Make sure you have a hose clamp tool. I bought the OTC 4502 Hose Clamp Pliers from Amazon and they worked great on all the clamps. ... show more
