The radiator cools just fine. Description: A single tube, aluminum core, with plastic tanks. The core is double width for reasonablel flow and cooling. The side brackets are bolt on, and are fairly substantial. All connections are in the proper position for easy hookup. Problem: The brackets were a little too narrow, which required some shimming of the core, for line up. This in turn made the fan shroud slightly narrow, which had to be adjusted at the mounting holes. This configuration probably fits several models, and adjustment may not be nessesary in all cases. I suppose I could have widened the mounting holes, but I didn't want to cut up the truck; it is a fairly nice van conversion. Would I buy it again? ................Probably ... show more

Leaked immediately after installation. Small crack at the filler neck. I paid for the installation, so now I had to pay to uninstall it and to install a different one. The item was only $150 but it cost me another $500 because they sent me a defective item. Don't buy this junk!!!!!

Just got the opportunity to have the radiator install and it was leaking from the seams pretty badly. Had to pay double for labor to remove and order a new one from the shop. As the old saying goes you get what you pay for

    • Does not cool well, and...defects....
I did not buy this from Amazon, but from a local parts store. First one did not cool as well as replaced aftermarket single core did on a Ford E250. I picked up 2 more and upon inspection, found the core to be crushed in at least one row from the side on each radiator. Not the outside row, but the second row in and a bit of the third on the radiator I took pics of. Went back for a third, but examined it prior to taking home, and it was damaged as well. Boxes (foam top and bottom of radiator open from the top type) did not look damaged.....Don't know if the first was slightly damaged and did not notice it,but they have some problem..... Obviously you can return these, but the cooling inefficiency of the installed one could be an issue. Replacement radiator (CU1456) ran about 10deg hotter than its replacement.... ... show more

The radiator works OK, the top and bottom of it is plastic and the core is aluminum. The mounting frame in the photo shows the mounting holes in the right location. The radiator I received had one of the mounting holes at the bottom of the frame on the left side (driver side). On the 1993 Ford E250 there is an obstacle in the way making installing the bolt difficult. You will need to get a new radiator cap as your old cap may have cracks on the rubber seal. You will also need to transfer parts from the old radiator to the new one like transmission cooling lines etc.. I have had the rater in for a few weeks now and have not had any problems with it. ... show more
