I've been using the speck cases since the iPhone 3, and have not even tried a different brand. I've been extremely happy with their products and their protection of the phone. I put one of specks cases on my wife and childrens phones as well. I keep my phones for years, usually until the battery stops lasting over a full day (2.5-3 years) and these cases are what keeps them going. I drop my phone often, and sometimes way harder and I'm so used to these cases that I don't even worry when it happens. I have had various ones that the thin plastic around the ports/buttons may break, but that doesn't seem to stop it from protecting the phone at all. I have dropped a phone so hard before that it cracked the case, but the phone was still fine. I will take my phone out maybe once a year to clean it from all the dust, etc.. and it's like new. You can't beat these cases for the protection or the price. They are a little bit pricey for the newest phone, but I myself usually trail the latest phone so the older cases can be had really cheap. I paid $7 for this one for my wife and it looks great and I'm sure will provide years of protection for her new phone. ... show more

I overall loved this case. The price was amazing and the case is gorgeous, it does scratch a bit easier than most cases but also long as your careful and aren't dropping your phone everyday you'll be fine.

Very pretty case! I love the glitter that makes my purple phone even prettier. It’s pretty sleek, but does add a little more bulk to the phone. Since this is the mini, I’m totally fine with that; I also like the lip because it makes it easier to hold. I saw a few reviews that made me hesitant to purchase, so I just wanted to address those concerns below: 1) The buttons were NOT hard to press, yes, they aren’t as easy as without the case, but they aren’t impossible or cause an undue burden. 2) Someone also mentioned the bottom lip got in the way of swiping up, I respectfully but 100% disagree. I haven’t had a single issue with that. 3) This case DOES scratch easily. I’ve got a few scratches and only have had the case a week. I’m not sure how this will look in about 3 months, but right now it’s pretty minuscule and doesn’t bother me. As far as actual protection goes, I’ve only had the phone and case for about a week and haven’t had any serious drops- I’ll update if my phone smashes dramatically in a fall. In short, I’m glad I got the case to try for myself instead of listening to the few poor reviews. I would buy again in 6 months if it gets super dirty and scratched by then. ... show more

I’ve had many speck cases - the soft material on this one is very hard. Months later, I still can’t press the volume or on/off buttons with one hand. Requires a lot of force.
