  • Wonderful sound, toned down nicely by the included silencer
OK, so, I have a 2010 Honda Civic sedan, and I was trying to find an exhaust modification of some sort that would give me a low rumble, rather than a "fart can." Luckily, I stumbled across this one after a lot of research, and after watching a few videos of people with this exact system, I decided to pull the trigger. As far as the installation goes, it truly is a bolt-on system, except for a few little issues that I had: 1. At the farthest-forward point that that this exhaust system bolts on, the stock bolts were actually welded on in the corners, so it was a bit of trouble getting those out (since they were too short), but after removing that section (only two bolts a bit farther forward), I put it in a vice (lightly, of course, so I didn't ding it up), and I took a hammer and knocked those three bolts out. Once I did that, I replaced that little section I had removed, then I could continue with the installation. 2. Where the first and second pieces of this system bolted together (since the piping of this new system is larger in diameter), the new system vibrated against the heat shield piece that was already on. I remedied this by taking a piece of water hose rubber, cut it long-ways, and slipped it in between the exhaust system and the heat shield. To hold it in place, I took a hose clamp and tightened that down on it. Besides these two minor issues, the installation was really easy. But once I got the system on, THEN I had some fun! Now, I started out with the silencer out (only requires the removal of two little screws), but it was just a little bit too loud. However, with the silencer in, it was the perfect amount of noise for me. I love this system very much, and it definitely does add quite a bit of enjoyment to your 140-horsepower economy car. Great system! 08/15/16 EDIT: It turned out that the reason the new exhaust pipe was against the heat shield was because the heat shield has been bent inward. Once I bent it out, there was no more contact between the two. 09/16/16 EDIT: While I had said that it was the perfect amount of noise with the silencer in, I have recently decided to remove it again to remind myself of how much noise it has without it - and I was actually surprised! It not only has a much more deep tone to it, but you can even hear the burbles and crackles as it downshifts. So, I now have the silencer out, and I have no plans of putting it back in anytime soon. ... show more

  • Please read before buying
It looks really nice and all. But it didn’t really come with everything you needed. It turned out to be slightly too long for a rubber piece to hang it on to the vehicle so I had to buy some zip ties for it. Plus it didn’t come with enough bolt and screws. I was missing two bolts and screws so I also had to run to Home Depot to get the correct size. Last thing, it didn’t come with all the gaskets. I had two of them out of three. I ended up not using one of them because the screws were too short to reach the other end for the bolt to be put on. Other than all that it’s worth buying I guess. ... show more

  • Nice Low Rumble w/some pops & crackles
Very easy to install as it is bolt on. No welding at all and all hanger arms were perfectly lined up with OEM. Looks really nice with the stainless steel and burnt tip. Sound wise, it has a very nice low rumble and if you get on it, certainly has some pops & crackles without needing a tune. If you leave the "silencer" on, it has only a very slight deeper sound than a stock muffler which is crazy because of how much difference with and without the silencer. This is my 2nd one actually. 1st one was installed and lasted about 5 years, just recently replaced the whole thing a month ago as it was basically the same price as replacing the muffle and then having it welded in. Replaced the whole thing myself for less $$. ... show more

  • Great Cheap Exhaust
This is a great cat back exhaust for the price. It’s not a true catback it’s missing one pipe but you can’t complain for this price, a bit better performance but nothing crazy. Sounds great, is loud and doesn’t sound like a fart can, good low rumble with some rasp. The included gaskets aren’t great you can see carbon leaking out of the bottom but nothing terrible. Only issue was the silencer, it cracked and at 2500 rpms it would sound like it was scraping from the rattle but when you take it off it’s not a problem, much louder too and in my opinion it looks better without it. Some reviews say it starts falling apart or rusting after a year or so but I haven’t had any problems with that yet other than the silencer bolts rusting a bit but those are removable. ... show more

  • Excellent buy
I have a 2009 honda civic lx with the 1.8l 4 door. Overall it sounds really good. At cruising speeds it has a nice deep tone. On the hwy its not to loud really. But it looks great. Hung and bolted up with absolutely no problems at all. I took it to the shop afraid of havin issues and had none wut so ever. So if ur looking at this one. Its a great buy nd can be put on in 10 minutes by urself if u can get under ur car. It bolts up to ur down pipe md everything else follows. Soon ill be addinf the downpipe and header to it. • Three Stars
The muffler's internal packing fell apart in 7 months!

  • Can’t beat the price.
I haven’t had any drawbacks and I’ve had it installed for 4 months. Was inarguably cheaper than anything I could find anywhere else. Even if some of the welds break, it will still be cheaper to replace one of its 3 parts with a higher quality, domestically sold one. My factory setup was one long tailpipe in the center of the 2000 civic. This broke that into 2 parts, giving more flexibility to install it by myself and without a lift. I had been driving with a broken then disconnected, then completely missing muffler and half of the original tailpipe for almost a year. It’s was starting to cause air sensor code errors. This isn’t a quiet muffler but it made those codes stop appearing after about a month of driving. The only reason for not 5 stars is that it didn’t really muffle the sound but I suppose it’s not designed to, being a sportier style. I drive my car hard in a lot of conditions so I’ll try and remember to update this review if it should fail like other reviewers had claimed it did to them. ... show more

  • Waste of money
Not too bad, sounds great but the welds are HORRIBLE. The exhaust fell apart within a year.
