The waist measurement shown on their size chart is incorrect. When you get the product, will it stretch to fit that? Yes, if you are at the bottom end of the predicted size. Maybe, if you are not, BUT and, for me, this was a big concern --- if it stretches, you will have a muffin roll at the waistband. That makes me think you should order a size larger if your waist is at the highest end of the size chart. M and L have a 2-inch expected waist span, but larger sizes go to 3-inch span. I believe you will be unhappy if you do not size up. Fortunately, I was at the bottom end of the waist size, and the product fit, but the waist is tight, so I measured, and the waist has to stretch over 2 inches to reach the low end of the expected waist for my chosen size. I cannot imagine what would happen if you choose one of the sizes with an expected 3-inch span. With that exception, the product is great and so I gave it a 5 star rating.

I purchased a pair of Spanx because I recently had surgery and I needed a pair of compression shorts. These definitely did the job! They seem to run small so you might want to consider sizing up. I weigh 110 lbs and a small is very small!

So I’m a longtime spanx owner and these are not anything like the trusted favorites I was trying to replace. Way too stretchy. Much less “suck you in” factor… I definitely could breathe easier… but that means they’re not doing their job as well in my opinion. Also, if you have nails with extensions… watch out, my nail popped a hole right through these the first time I put them on. They’re definitely more comfortable… but I guess I will have to keep wearing my ratty old spanx if I truly want to fit into my smallest dresses.

It's hard to order when the hip and waist size are so uneven. If you have a waist size estimate, then you must have hips way huge to fit. I suspect the items are supposed to chinch in your waist painfully to make you think it's "shaping" you, rather than simply medium/firm general support for weight loss support or something. I need 37" hip and around 28-32" waist until I lose more weight and TONE UP. Disappointed but gave 3 stars for maybe fitting others as they desire.
