Very nice. The rod pocket is approximately two and three quarter inch wide so it has a lot of space for your rod. The white color is natural with just allowing enough blue light to come through with the indoor light to make it look both warm and cool a perfect blend. A perfect white. The weave is a fine mesh it'll let air go through but it's not gauzy or like mosquito netting. It's a fine quality like you would find in a fabric store. The only thing I didn't care for was the smell it didn't smell dirty or chemical it just has this smell like milk. Reminds me of a bit of milk left in the glass overnight that milk smell. I didn't wash them when I first got them and I really should have. The smell wasn't enough to bother me at first so I hung them straight up and then I started noticing it as the air circulated. But the following day you can only notice it if your nose is up close to the fabric. I will take them down and wash them they're only on taught chords right now because I'm waiting for the curtain rods. Definitely wash them and dry them to get the wrinkles out. They look beautiful hung. Well worth the money. I didn't take anything in stars away from the review for the smell because it's something that once washed won't be there anymore. It could have come from the plastic casing that they were in or the factory. Textile factories don't do just one kind of textile they do many. TL;DR These are perfect; buy them. I "auditioned" a half-dozen sheer or semi-sheer curtains because I didn't want to buy the wrong thing for all seven (count 'em) of my sliding glass doors in my sunroom. These were the winners by a fair margin, because: 1. They are well sewn and consistently sized (70" x 84"--very consistently!!!! My curtains all fall at the same length across 7 sets!) 2. Bonus points for being 70" wide (almost 2m) rather than the more common 42" (just over 1m); my doors are double width, so I bought a pair of sheers for each, and as you can see in the picture, even when extended they still have nice gathers and fullness. 3. The white is a true white, NOT cream. This looks good with my new blue paint (Sherwin Williams shade "Resolute Blue" here). 4. I appreciate the little extra bit above the casing for the curtain rod--looks nice to have above the rod. 5. These are sheer enough to bunch down into a very small space while still providing some daytime privacy between my sunroom and my neighbors' yard. Not much privacy at night, but that's not a concern for me. 6. They come packaged vacuum sealed like nobody's business, which I think is awesome (and also made me laugh). Less volume = less fuel for shipping. But be careful cutting the package open so as not to accidentally cut the curtain. There's not much of a margin there. I cut open all 7 packages without any problem, but it was a little nerve-wracking. 7. Wrinkles: Yes, these have wrinkles and NO, you're not supposed to put them in the dryer, but you can wash them in the machine. I just hung mine up straight from the packaging and within a day most of the wrinkles had fallen out on their own. I got impatient, so sprayed them lightly with water and that took care of the rest of the wrinkles. 8. Others have commented on the visible labels. This is a built-in issue with sheer curtains, and wherever the labels are placed, you're going to see them unless you cut them out (see definition of "sheer"). I cut mine out carefully, right outside the seam attaching them, and they are not visible once hung. That side should be hung towards the window (it's the back). Cut carefully, holding all the fabric out of the way of the scissors. I couldn't be more pleased with these. They do not feel or look "plastic-y" at all (they remind me of a bridal veil), and I REALLY appreciate that they are consistently sized. I tried cheaper curtains and a few more expensive curtains, but these were hands-down the best all around. 10/10 ... show more
